I'm sensing some tweaking over the years. Not sure how much faith I want to put in ancient item databases no one ever cared about when they were needed.

Okay people, John asked us to look over items and find the ones with attachment bugs or whatever. So here goes:

Sartholas' Breastplate of Retribution Item# 1428073 Gave an error listing attachment slots. Fixed after I bought it from the exchange.
Sartholas' Slippers of Malice Item# 1429253 shows the POTA set bonus EE (It should not display that)
Dragon Fang Item# 1467233 Displays a weapon damage modifier that shouldn't be there. (Based on Xanadu info)
Jharru Blade of Sacrifice Item# 1429758 Displays Weapon Damage modifier that should not be there (Based on Xanadu info)
Misshapen Trinket Item#1428509 All the attachment slots are missing. Only displays two as [0] []

Vercel's Visage of Volume - Has no voice mod on it. Should be 1.50 Voice? Not sure if this is related

Yes, that's probably related. Might want to check all the items that would have bard mods on it, just in case. We were looking for attachment and equipped effect issues.

To get the item number, link the item in chat, except before you hit enter, remove the < at the start of it. That'll let you paste it to your /say channel (Or one of the chat channels if you want to spam.) But that first number there is the item number.

For example: <item=1428073:1702166807::0:0:1:27:10:>Sartholas' Breastplate of Retribution</link>

Okay, so a lot of the POTA gear is showing set bonuses that they shouldn't be. You didn't get those special EE's until: You had enough of the armor pieces, such as a 2 piece set bonus, 5 piece set bonus, etc. AND you had certain flags on your toon, such as "Chamber access" or certain amount of faction.

Since there are so many of these pieces, I thought it might be easier (maybe?) if the devs looked up the EE instead of the individual pieces.
You need to look for "Holy Infusion" or "Chaotic Infusion." A lot of the POTA pieces have those and shouldn't be displaying them.

If you'd rather I make a list of the pieces that are showing it, just let me know and I'll get them all (There's tons of them).

No need. As Xinux said in IRC, we need to fix all the bonus text manually anyway - although I prefer to wipe it from the item and build all dynamic text in code. If you just list high-level examples we should be able to find the defects.

Also note that soon(tm) the Items Editor will be in DBE, so you (content designers) will have access to fix them yourselves.

Final ??? Parsing???

Both the "0x1" and "0x2" parsers are running full bore now after I spend the afternoon fixing all the new struct changes in the C++ parser. Devs, note that if you use C++ parser, you will need the vgo_rawdata.sql from VGOTools SVN. I doubt anyone uses this tool but me, but it's there if you want to process multiple logs in a series.

Currently parsing:
All Unreal (0x1) Npc, PPO, Movers, Music, Sound, and Vehicles (the latter is pointless as it is an incomplete bitstream)
All Game (0x2) data:
  • animations
    cast messages
    crafting
    dialogs
    diplomacy cards
    preferred dungeons
    emotes/responses
spell effects (targeted, buffs, detrimental, beneficial)
    factions
    forms
    items
    in-game messaging (for cast responses)
    poi's
quests -- Xinux needs to look into why there is so much garbage data
    recipe lists
    spells
    titles[/list:u]
What non-data junkies do not see; this is a buttload of data. All stuff we've seen before, but every time we parse, the data gets a little cleaner Here's to hoping this is the second-from-the-last time... since Quest data is still crap in a lot of logs, and I do not know why.

    Goodnight.
