Afrit Progress Thread

I have some rare free time today. I'm going to start setting up the quests in Afrit and getting it ready for civic diplos. Because some of the quests from Afrit connect with RI, there will be some crossovers from there.


Quests:

• Find our Friends - Complete. This one just sends you out of the chunk and to RI. Since RI is not set up yet and we don't have the dialogue for this NPC, I'm setting this quest so that players cannot take it yet. I'll get back to RI and change this later.
• Shadow of the Zull - This starts in Afrit but it takes place in Rahz Inkur. It has been set up. Because I am not doing RI quests in this pass, I am setting this quest so that it cannot be taken until we get to the quests in RI.
  2/14/21:
• An Unworthy Plea - This sends you to NN. I've set it up and the NPC it's on, (Lord Neferset) but only for the turn in of this quest. Nothing else in NN has been set up as of this posting.
  
  The Afrit Cycle Quests: (These four quests repeatedly cycle allowing you to farm faction, XP, and Searing Stones.)
  The cycle is set up, but the XP, Faction, and cash rewards are not set up yet. I have asked the devs for a function for this special case so that we can give the players the proper amount of XP and faction on "complete", even though the quests are technically abandoned on complete.
• Flare Aggression - Complete
• Ravenous Flare Beasts - Complete
• Flareling Trouble - Complete - I put 100 faction on this one, but not the others. My logs from live indicate that these gave no faction, but neither do kills. So I'm not sure how you get faction. Do not bug report this, this is for testing purposes.
• Flarewing Menace - Complete
  • Searing Stone Turnin Quests(I believe that these quests were faction based, like they didn't show up until you hit certain faction threshholds, however I cannot find any info about this.)

    • Imbuing Arazmus - Set up but there's a pre-req related to this and I'm not sure if it's faction, a quest, an item, or any combination thereof.

Cleanup started

First observation --ok
- this chunk is one big glitch, have to use /flush like every five minute
- the number of mobs in this chunk is absolutely insane!!!! - it will take days and days to deal with them
- harvesting sources plants, trees, nods etc. look ok
- mobs stuck inside the rocks, have to check that carefully --all visible ones pulled out
- thinking of adding Directions script to Var Guardians --maybe later
- IIRC 3* mob Magmite Ravager used to be pather
