Rindol Field Progress
Rindol Field Progress
I've seen some reports of weirdness in Rindol Field from players in game. So I decided to do a QA check on it. I'll be updating stuff here and there. Since Rindol field is its own starter area, I felt it needed a thread outside of Tursh's.
Ants at the Tavern - Fixed Typo
Check on Marmila - Added Prerequisite quest. Changed Objective so it is no longer a "go to this location" quest, and you actually just need to go to the NPC and turn in.
Ant Attraction - Fixed typos

Re: Rindol Field Progress
I've restarted Rindol Field now that I've finished all the Tursh quests. I haven't been able to post my progress due to the recent hosting issues. I'll try to catalogue them tomorrow and post them. It's still under construction though, so I wouldn't try to do Rindol field at this time.

Re: Rindol Field Progress
Okay, here's what I've done over the past weekend. A lot of these had some stuff that needed to be fixed behind the scenes (like how they were set up). Many of them I had to edit the objectives to match the data we collected from live.
Also I did not touch the gear yet. I know the rewards don't have stats. That's not something I'm looking into currently.
Stripes the Kitten: Complete. I have no idea how this worked in live and I couldn't find any information live on it. So I set it up how I thought I would enjoy playing it. So when you find the cat just outside of the tavern and try to take it, it runs off. It does this a few times until you can finally corner it.
Ants at the Tavern: Complete.
The Real Threat: Complete.
Check on Marmila: Complete.
Ant Attraction: Complete. Note: The redcaps inside the houses might be able to aggro the players despite being inside. The devs still need to work on visual occlusion (So that the mobs can't see through walls). I might make it so they don't spawn until you go into the houses, but for now, be aware of that.
Grimbo Honey: Complete.
Receiving Instruction: Complete, though only tested it on the rogue. I'll need to check it on the other archetypes before I completely sign off on this one.
Magic for the Taking: Complete.
Safe Field: Complete
Potion Delivery: Complete
Fear the Small: Not quite Complete. You're supposed to put on an illusion of a giant frog and scare the hell out of the redcaps. Right now we don't have a way of scaring them via proximity to the illusion. For the meantime, I've put a note on the quest to just kill the beevexers while wearing the illusion. This will have them respawn as the terrified redcaps that run off. We will fix this when we have the functionality in place to make it work as intended. I have an idea I might try in the future of having so many of the redcaps in the area, and when you enter this area, they despawn and respawn. And respawning adds to the scare counter. I'm not entirely sure this will work without issues, so for now I'm leaving it as a simple kill quest.
Completing Jensa's Plan: Complete
Lure Them Out: Complete
Tell the Sheriff: Complete
An Apple for Stacie - Complete. I don't think this was one was set up properly at all. Now you pat the cow, it follows you to its home, and you can turn in. Note: The food item reward for this quest is not scripted yet. I'll look into that later.

Re: Rindol Field Progress
Tonight's Work (I know, not much).
Fixed some NPCs and their hails.
Quests:
Early Harvest: Complete. Had to redo this slightly, but works now. Had to set it up so the pumpkins were interactive and not drops from the kills. Also had to change the knife to the noninteractive one (That comes on the next quest)

Re: Rindol Field Progress
Today's Work:
Pumpkin Carving: Complete
Jack o' Lantern Deliveries: Complete
Feni's Demise: Complete
Foiling Fire: Complete. Note to self: She says twice in the quest text 'you halflings', which makes me think I need to set this quest to be halfling only. I can't do that right now while testing because my toon is not a halfling. I will see about setting this up later.

How far does it go? I can't find it after the initial right clickJakkal wrote: ↑Mon Sep 11, 2017 2:27 pm Stripes the Kitten: Complete. Re: Rindol Field Progress
The only compass marker I have is Barron's tooth tavern, nothing else to select.
(Also there's an error in the quest text, it says "When you find SnomTwo, pick her up and carry her back to Lila at the Tavern.")
Re: Rindol Field Progress
It's the compass that's on your screen, not in the quest log. We tested this quest yesterday to verify it works.
I'll fix the quest text. That seems to be a common problem from our collections where it'll change the name of something to the player.

Re: Rindol Field Progress
The NSWE that is at the top center of the screen, correct? The red indicator stays on the tavern and doesn't change. The text says [something like] "it went west" so I do go west but I don't see it in town along that line (i could be overlooking) and not sure how far to go. If y'all tested then it must just be me, no worries.
