Cannot Use Druid Abilities

Logged in today and played my druid Elquar.


Could not cast any of of His ability because they all required Phenomenon Points, I kept getting message not enough phenomenon points when i tried to cast any spell. Only specific ability required these rest are energy based.

Prior to this log in I was able to at least cast the other abilities that didn't require phenomenon points. Well see the animation if it had one.

Verified, even using latest SVN and the .resetattrs command, my toon cannot cast anymore (not that there is a spell there to begin with, just reporting the blocker)

Mine were "Turning Attempts", on a cleric.

I'm pretty sure that this is due to your character getting corrupted attributes saved into the DB. When this happened I don't know and I can't seem to see characters via the DBE anymore. I have seen this once when my test character got a bunch of random attributes saved with values of -1.

Note that the resetattrs command won't fix this sort of thing. It just resets the ATTRIBUTE type attributes (just like the adventuring/crafting assigner did on live). It won't remove these bugged attributes. You should be able to fix this by recreating your character or wait for me to be able to fix the DB itself.

I think a "DELETE FROM `character_attributes` WHERE `attribute_value`=-1;" will fix it, but I'm not sure as I don't know what caused it in the first place.

FYI, there are no attributes on New Telon with a -1 value, only 0 (zeroes).

DBE never had Characters, only the list of them, and no details. And only for Targ server, not New Telon. Someday it will.

Hmmm.. That is even stranger. I'm still pretty sure that this is caused by the client getting attributes that it shouldn't be. Since none of them are -1 it won't be easy to find them though. If anyone wants to try creating a character on my server that would help. If you can reproduce the bug there I can see what is in the DB and I might be able to figure out what is going on. I also have a lot of crazy attribute logging going on on my server.

Another question, does your character show that you have class points? I'm guessing that they will be 0, but you should have them (as a druid).

John, a dump of the character_attributes table might help me figure this out. I think I already have the other needed character info (ID=57, Elqaur Emberstone, Thestran Human, Druid).

I thought that I had seen a character list earlier today. I didn't really look at it though. I just assumed that the edit button worked.

Update, I added class points to my psion and I'm seeing the same thing for all abilities. I'm starting to wonder if I'm sending something wrong for class points that is confusing the client. I think I might have found something. I think the max for class points is being sent as -1. That might be causing the client to go crazy.

Edit: I think I have committed a fix for this.

Well i forgot to add that my phenomenon point are reading -1 earlier today ill log in shortly and check how my toon is doing.
