Seeing stuff like this inspires me to study so much harder on my CompSci degree.

But for now, screw Java...

Everything we are doing is in either C#, C++ and LUA

Aeterne,

C# isn't too far off from Java, which is what I studied when I was in school. Well, that and Visual Basic, because that is all they offered at my community college.
If you can get a decent grasp of Java, making the jump to C# is pretty easy, so stick with it

[i:xfsm5qif]As an IT professional, I in no way condone the use of Java for anything. It does nothing but cause grief for the end-users' IT person because of poorly written apps that require very specific versions to run. I have to maintain 5 different versions of Java just to have my users connect to all of their different websites and tools for government reporting.[/i:xfsm5qif]

Awesome work on everything so far guys! I'll be getting setup this weekend to start playing around in the code to see if I can lend a hand. If nothing else, I will definitely be able to assist in content creation as the LUA examples look very easy for NPC dialog and whatever else it will be used for.

Starting Abilities have been pushed to New Telon players.

[center:3p7llm5r]ScreenShot_00174.JPG[/attachment:3p7llm5r][/center:3p7llm5r]

Note: Abilities themselves do not work yet, so no bugs needed about them. This is just for display, and identifying data elements.

Edit:
[b:3p7llm5r][center:3p7llm5r]You must type /reloadui once you land in game, or change chunks.

There's a known issue with the Abilities list
not populating properly when entering a chunk.
Working on it![/center:3p7llm5r][/size:3p7llm5r][/color:3p7llm5r][/b:3p7llm5r]

I feel like you all are moving so quickly we could be testing most of the features by the end of next year. I'm pumped.

zippyzee is very excited about this news!
Update:

The Telon Global Exchange is now open for business!

You can now search through New Telon's item database for those hard-to-find items. Need a new cap? No problem! Looking for a mount? In stock!

Even better, take that new mount home! You can buy anything you would like, for the low, low cost of ZERO Copper! And, if you act now, we will throw in free, immediate shipping! No more waiting for that package to arrive in the mail. We will put it right into your inventory!

Be sure to try on before you buy. Hovering over an item will show it visually equipped to your character.

Some of the search fields are not yet active, but you can sort by item level and some other general characteristics.

Enjoy![/quote:dt5vw31d]

[center:dt5vw31d]Sure feels good to not be naked anymore...

Now LIVE on New Telon as of 11/21/2014 - full item list coming soon.
