That is a room in CoW. I've been there on live, but it'll take me a while to find a .move location for you.

Well seeing as there is a gazebo in the picture. It must be near one of these:

Portal (it's use unknown)
.move -6033 27505 -25372

Life Wing (Large Gazebo/End)
.move 32455 19726 -41138

Death Wing (Gazebo/End)
.move -46960 -9704 -20773

I just assumed it was ToT/NN due to the statues in the gold. Found this image waaaay back before CoW was opened.

Found it! .rift 82, then .move -411 -25018 -30700

Sadly the floating lamp isn't there.

Nicely done. Wonder where the portal takes you/what the lamp did.

How are you finding these with little to no issues? I can't see crap (underground rooms/dungeons) around me if I do an incorrect .move and fall into the void

Edit: Also, found a small area inside Stiirhad (.rift 38) I'm sure most don't know you can access:

Upper Bridge:
.move -12898 43682 66320

I assume it's portal is from:
.move -20683 30248 48845

They didn't do anything on live. We had to bug ourselves into the room. It took several hours.

I know where to look since I've been there on live.

I've been there, isx was good at letting you port around. There wasn't anything up there except a dead end sadly.
I've also seen that portal, but we never bothered to try to get to it as the guardians would kick your ass is a hurry.

Dazar Cave: .rift tarjanashir (.move -35411, 16523, 9105) A lush cave with a lovely waterfall.

River Palace: .rift riverpalace (.move 6575, 67745, 10500)

Serpent of Sihari: .rift lomshir (.move 46520, -60512, 73) A beached shipwreck with a big surprise inside.

???: .rift lomshir (.move 65714, 63339, 25573) A ghost council south of Lomshir with a creepy reaper-like bird.

The last two teleport you to Lomshir, but they are the correct coordinates...

Thanks for sharing! These are great points of interest. That cave in Tar Janashir is one that I have been looking for awhile now; I remember exploring that with a group early in the Vanguard days (and dying multiple times on that walkway down, lol!). I've never been able to find it, though, until you posted it here.

There are still some other areas I can't seem to find, such as the starting area with the burning town (or maybe they removed that from the game at some point?), as well as one particular vast dungeon/cave that started with a small hole/staircase in the grass, maybe next to a graveyard in upper Thestra? I also remember a deep firey/volcanic cave that was located in SE Thestra swamps, but I can't seem to find the entrance to that either.

Regardless, it's cool to be able to cross off another one from my list, (the Tar Janashir cave you found). Thanks again for sharing, I love this stuff!

Thanks for these new ones, Maiq! I never played Vanguard (I suppose I should admit now that when it was on Steam as FTP, I downloaded it and played it for about 1 hour, but I can't recall anything except IoD), and seeing all these places gives me a greater appreciation for the massive world that was constructed.

I enjoy running around the empty world, as it is, and imagining what may have roamed these areas. A person could write a book using some of these areas as inspiration!

My pleasure! I will be posting more soon. One of the many unhappy aspects of the Sunset was not being able to share Telon with others.

Burning Starter town, maybe you are thinking Shang Village? AFAIK Its still there, -19,7
Not sure if it'll be on fire or not, but you could get to that loc when client was live too

Used to have really cool Imperial Armor set that you would start with when you chose Tanvu Human, but you lost it when you got ported to Dallerjuba village
