July 26-27 - Extended Outage

Sorry about that. As I posted to the VGOEmulator Facebook Page, Phoenix AZ was rocked by an epic storm last night at around 10:30pm MST. Power services went out, and while they normally blink on and off during a powerful storm, this time power was out to many counties for over 12 hours. Thousands were without power (including me) in 90 degree, damp, sweltering conditions... needless to say, I didn't get much sleep last night

Services are coming back online slowly now as I clean up from the mess. I did manage to catch a few spectacular shots of the sky - since there was not much else I could do.

PS: I am strongly considering hosting VGOEmulator.net elsewhere, as the post-sunset popularity of this site cannot be inconvenienced by occasional acts of nature. I'll let you know if/when we move.

Thanks guys, all is well - until the next one I love storm photography. Usually if it's wicked, you will find me outside with my camera. I'm still working on the settings, because I don't like the orange/purple skies but of course it's pitch black waiting for a lightning strike. I set the shutter to open for 10 secs each click, and with the sky lighting up like it does here, I usually catch some pretty amazing things.
