Jharru Flats Progress Thread
"Jakkal, you're bouncing around again!"
I know, I know. I just got my Covid vaccine shot this weekend and I'm getting the fatigue side effect. The easiest thing for me to do is start the quests in an untouched chunk, so I can at least get something done this weekend.
There's only 19 quests here, all but six are Adventuring quests. So let's get started.

Most quests do not have a pre-req quest set up unless a pre-req was obvious.
- Send the Lizardmen a Message - Complete. Interesting note, in the quest summary they call the river the "River Kha", I guess that was an old spelling of the Qa river or the original quest designer never saw it spelled out before. I have changed it to the "River Qa".
- Ancient Knowledge - Complete. Note: You do not get quest progress updates as you perform the quest. The quest has an "Obtain Item" objective which you get after you interact with the five quest objects. I've put in text in chat and a popup message to let the player know that they are doing something, but I suspect this might end up confusing people. This quest is ridiculous. But you have to click 5 separate pillars in two chunks. And then for shits and giggles, Sigil/SOE put two of them way on the other side of TOD that aren't even part of this quest, but there they are. I've set those two not to spawn.
- Find the Tent Outpost - Complete.
- Thin the Skeleton Population - Complete.
- Patrol - Complete. For some reason the POIs are out of order on the quest log. I don't know why they are. They're in order on everything I have access to, so I have no idea why the game puts them out of order. Also the pois will not automatically flip to the next one on this quest, so you need to manually select them via the quest log. I prefer doing these quests this way because if you do it automatically and someone starts on another quest or picks up another quest, you can't get it back.
- Belongings Left Behind -Complete So the POIs for this one aren't listed under Jharru Flats because they're in Jathred's Twist, if you're looking for them in your locations journal. This quest is more complicated than it seems because it's not a direct Obtain Item quest. I tested it straight ( as it was meant to be done) and it worked fine for me. If someone does some wonky stuff and it ends up breaking, let me know so I can foolproof it.
- Water Collection - Complete. I set this one so that you can collect water anywhere in the circle. This is a simple quest, it has a terrible reward, it is in no ways meta relevant and is standalone (not part of a questline). So I see no reason to make it more complicated than it needs to be.
- Camel Round-Up Complete.
- Blood and Bone Complete. I changed one of the objectives based on what Silky venom mentioned where you get a mortar and pestle and killing the drake "updates it" or something or other. I just made it simpler and had the lonely drake drop a bone. This quest was missing in our database. Gathering information from https://vgoemulator.net/archive/Silky%2 ... _Bone.html
- Ancient Summoning Complete. This quest is extremely complex and I am concerned that it will not stand against first contact with the players. There are a lot of scripts and moving parts involved in this. I can tell you not to kill the dragon that spawns, that will waste your time if you do that. - Fellow Gnomes Complete. This takes you to the questgivers for the Karrus Fahrel dungeon, which I'm not going to set up until we have a good questline for it. See my second post in this thread for why I'm not setting up the existing quests yet.
- Goods For Evendusk Complete. This requires you go to Hathor Zhi.
- Hides For Ravnul Complete. This requires you go to Qa Riverbank.
Mobs:
- Latas the Siphon - Added loot table (Two items. I'm not sure if they belong on him but I can't find anything else that would match)
- Tainted Cloud: Scripted with a chance to spawn and attack during the quest "Water Collection". Yes, I had to script an angry cloud attacking you.
- Escaped Camel Mob: Technically this is a mob and not an NPC becuase IT IS ATTACKABLE. Scripted with random movement script. Despawns when the Camel Lure is used on it for the quest "Camel Round-Up)
- Escaped Camel Follower: Scripted to spawn and follow the player for the quest "Camel Round-Up"
- Xilthiss: Scripted for "Blood and Bone" and "Skinning Some Lizardmen". Added loot table (one item, greataxe)
- Tuatiren Fisher and Fishmaster Scripted for "Blood and Bone" and "Skinning Some Lizardmen"
- Lonely Drake Scripted for "Blood and Bone".
- Buzzbite: Added loot (one item, reinforcements, medium healer). The where.found.text says it comes from "Bloodbite" but online sources such as silky venom claim this item is on this mob. I tend to believe Silky Venom (And there is no 'bloodbite' anywhere in game). so I've edited the where.found.text to match the mob name.
- Tuatiren Headhunter Scripted to spawn and attack for the quest "Patrol"
- Runed Pillar: (Three of these are in the TOD Chunk). Scripted for the quest "Ancient Knowledge."
- Chest of Tools - This is actually in Jathred's Twist but the quest is in Jharru Flats, for the quest "Belongings Left Behind"
- Heavy Chest - This is actually in Jathred's Twist but the quest is in Jharru Flats, for the quest "Belongings Left Behind"
- Crate of Cloths - This is actually in Jathred's Twist but the quest is in Jharru Flats, for the quest "Belongings Left Behind"
- Pile of Books - This is actually in Jathred's Twist but the quest is in Jharru Flats, for the quest "Belongings Left Behind"

- Mask of Old Magic x3 - Quest reward for "Ancient Summoning" There are four versions of this mask with Int, Wis, Dex, and Str. We only had the Int one. I recreated the other three
- Lizardbane Totem - Quest item. Created for the quest "Ancient Summoning"
- Jar of Lizardman Blood - Quest item. Created for the quest "Blood and Bone"
- Drake Bone - Quest item. Created for the quest "Blood and Bone"

- Poi: Summoning Location - For the quest "Ancient Summoning"
- Poi: Refugee Trading Post - All of the pointers in game seem to think this was named the "Refuge Trading Outpost" or the "refuge camp". But the signs in game said 'Refugee', so since refugee makes more sense than refuge, I'm changing everything that is currently refuge to refugee.

So there's actually a cool little dungeon in this chunk. And we have a grand total of two quests recorded for it.
It appears that the dungeon is full of Gnomes and some other entities that are being mind-controlled to work. The first quest asks you to go in and find the source of the control. The second quest tells you to find out what happened by getting data from recording crystals in the dungeon.
The problem? Neither of these quests answer the question of what is going on. We have no record if the recording crystals gives any story information or if it's just an object you click for a quest update. The only thing I can find in the dungeon that is the "source of control" is a section that literally goes from level 12 3-4 dots to level 44 6 dots. I am not joking.
The solution? Unless someone can find information on this dungeon, I suggest that we make our own questline for it. Considering most people have never heard of it, it was rarely visited in live. I don't feel too bad about it. I can't even find data on wikis about it.
If any of you want to try to find information, the quest names are: "The Cause" and "Our Information". The dungeon name is "Karrus Fahrel"

Starting the clean up. First I have to run around the chunk to map what/who is where. For now, avoiding the Karrus Fahrel dungeon.

- Hulvnar Dragnor (General Goods Vendor) --done
- NPC Makai Lackan ( Shipwright of Hathor Zhi) has the smae copy in Jharru Flats, including the same name --I decided to leave it as it is, just created s script.

I need to somehow solve the pathing of WANDERING FUNGAL LORD.
Based on https://vanguard.fandom.com/wiki/Access ... _Warehouse this boss has more than one chunk to walk through:
Lord Fumobeso, a wandering fungal lord, can be found near Forest's Heart, within the Jharru Flats, or around the Sundering Wastelands. Weaken it with the fungal sedative, slay it, then return to Kipcel at the Port of Innovus.
Update: we need him in all three chunks, pathing need to be set then

Issue while setting the path for the named Xilthiss - an error has emerged: the mob continues to walk on the roof of a building or the cave very surface as it passes through a door, entrance, etc.
Unfortunately, it happens in every chunk. Checking with Devs if it is linked to geolocation changes they are currently working on.
Update: Foof fixed that issue, will take an effect after next server restart
