Re: Vault of Heroes Progression Thread
I think I only did this area's questline once or twice so I don't remember it that well. I do not remember any quest that didn't complete. I would set it up to autocomplete when the sword breaks because that just isn't right that you can't complete it. My 2 coppers.....
Re: Vault of Heroes Progression Thread
Today's Work:
Destruction of Spite and The Broken Sword - See Notes below.
So I've set up these quests like so:
You hail Servant Niklithas and get "Destruction of Spite" This is the quest that is set up by design so you cannot complete it.
After you click on the 4th crystal, the sword breaks. The quest "Destruction of Spite" is removed from your quest log and the original sword is removed from your inventory. You get a shattered sword instead.
The quest "The Broken Sword" is then given to your automatically. You return to Servant Niklithas and turn in The Broken Sword.
THE PROBLEM: There is no way for us to tell Servant Niklithas to refrain from offering Destruction of Spite again. You can't do this in a loop because you can't redo The Broken Sword. But because you can never finish Destruction of Spite, he will always offer it.
The Devs are looking into this now but there's nothing we can do about it at this time.
Don't Eat the Fish - Missed this one my first time through. Set up now and complete.
Mutant Scare - Complete
Three-Sided Tale - Complete
Restore Marin- Complete
Find Elise - Complete. Some of the quest dialogue was missing, so I had to make it up.
Lost Magic - This is where the Elise storyline gets a little confusing. We didn't have a lot of the database information for this and the next quest, "Stone to Flesh". Infact I think there might be a missing quest between these two but I can't find any proof that such a thing exists at all. I ended up having to do some significant changes to these quests to make it work with what we did have. I don't recall doing this quest at all so I had to limp along based on what little I could find. So now the quest is set up so that you find Elise. Then you go back to Sage Marin. Sage Marin tells you to talk to a dude in Leth Nurae. Originally you would turn in the quest with the Leth Nurae NPC, but he gave you a scroll at the end of the quest (Very odd way of doing it). I assume there was a quest here where he told you to go back to Marin, but there wasn't anything about it. So I set this one up so you talk to the NPC In Leth, he gives you the scroll (using dialogue from the quest turn-in as the conversation between Player and NPC), and then I had the player return to Marin and turn in the quest.
Flesh to Stone - Since I can't find any evidence of a quest being between Lost Magic and Flesh to Stone, I set it up so Marin translates the scroll for you, you take it with you, and read it off to Elise. So now you can change her back.

Re: Vault of Heroes Progression Thread
I just realized I need to get someone to look at the slaves that follow the Broken Fang Slavers in the slave camp. If you kill the slaver, the slave just stands around like an idiot. But for now I need to program them for another quest.

Re: Vault of Heroes Progression Thread
I need to redo the Broken Fang Slave camp. I don't like the way these quests are set up as they are. So if you guys run through the VoH quests, don't bug the slave camp quests (The area with the big tents).
I don't imagine people will want to do that spot yet since I haven't done much mob cleanup and there are mobs EVERYWHERE.

Re: Vault of Heroes Progression Thread
Now this what I really enjoy doing. Setting the evil mobs to attack the poor widdle slaves. Seriously they're animated!

Re: Vault of Heroes Progression Thread
For Tonight's work, I changed "Brutal Slavers" a bit. Only two of the Captured Slaves walk around, the other two are stuck next to those poles, like in the above image. I also added Slavemasters to the kill list, because there's only 4 slavers up and it took *forever* to finish that quest (You have to kill 14.) Now there's plenty. You can get credit for freeing the NPC slaves, but you can also get credit for the slave interactive objects that look like NPCs in their undies.
I've added animations to the stationary slavers, and to all the slavedrivers. I haven't found places for all the slavedrivers yet that suits them, so some are swinging at nothing, but w/e.
Added the following quests:
Find Fedora
Keys to the Slaving Locks - I set this one up a little differently from normal. Since you only need one key and there are lots of chests, I made it some some are randomly empty. Good luck.
Slay the Slaymaster.

Re: Vault of Heroes Progression Thread
For you guys reading this, can you possibly find information on the following quests:
Initiate the Escape of the Slaves
Mail of the Father
Jarl of Torsheim
Collapse the Orcbane Mines
We have very little information on these quests, to the point that I can't possibly set them up. All we have for most of these is the turn-in text. If you can find anything on these, it would help me out a ton. Otherwise I can't do much with them currently.

Re: Vault of Heroes Progression Thread
Angry Wiki just says Slay The Slavemaster is prereq for Find Mishka/Initiate Escape/Collapse, which those are prereq for the Vault of Heroes dungeon ones (including Gnoll Commander).
This headache of a thing http://vanguard.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Quests has more details but, missed those quests.

Re: Vault of Heroes Progression Thread
Thanks Amnath, I'll keep looking. I really need the objectives and the plot so I can write something appropriate, but I can't find anything.
Worse Case Scenario: We scrap it all and I write a complete dungeon crawl with quests, lore, etc that fits VG's Varajar/Vulmane/Broken Fang storyline.
As for Today's Work:
I've spent the last two days cleaning up the Broken Fang slave camp. I've tried to set it up so you have to be really careful about where you go and what you do, but not so bad that it's impossible to do solo.

Re: Vault of Heroes Progression Thread
Dunno. Telon Project was never completed, and some of the other resources are disappearing.
But as you surmised, there was at one time a One Stone Eye quest with a sequel (Easing the Sorrow): http://vanguard.wikia.com/wiki/One_Stone_Eye_(Quest)
Could do it differently and make it harder I guess. One thing I noticed from their list is that sometimes quest names are used more than once, which might be an issue from what I saw of the scripting; or otherwise you have to use an altered name like Ancient Knowledge (Jharru Flats).
