Details:
I am only regenerating 7 hp per tick out of combat. I think that is very low (it is actually about right for in-combat HP regen, I think).

Currently it's 5 hp/energy and 20 endurance base regen with a extra 150% out of combat regen. Does this need to be bumped up i thought it was pretty close to live?

Dev Note: The values need to be made into a rule along with the out of combat regen percentage.

That might be ok for levels 1-3, but it should scale by level and/or vitality. A max level toon with 1200 hp should regen almost as fast as a lowbie with 400. Right now, by level 10, the regen is much too slow. I'm referring to out of combat; in-combat regen should really only be noticeable in the first few levels. I thought out of combat was the base, and combat was a reduction, like how spell casting should drop you to walk speed.

As for endurance, I would have to take a closer look at a "spendy" ability such as Scythe of Doom, which, iirc, should deplete it in 5-6 swings and then you should be out; it definitely should not be coming back fast enough to allow you to Scythe continuously. The endurance values should be very firmly fixed, as there were only a few things in the whole game that would give any bonuses to it; level didn't matter.

For an example of imbalance, I forget the item's name, but there was something you could buy/sell on the auction house and equip around level 35 that gave you 10 health and energy per second--which was excessively too much in combat.

Edit: maybe the regen is ok and it looks bad because we're having too much health at low levels. Little bit of both things probably.

I'm not positive about this, but I always thought it was a fixed amount of time to regenerate all your HP, regardless of level. So it has to scale. However, I think that may only have applied to base HP. I tried to test it once with two different characters, and it took one of them a little longer to go from near zero to full. The one that took longer had more +HP gear. Con and +regen hear should boost that, of course.

That might be the best way to go about it.

Seems faster at low levels, but 20-55 seemed like 45 seconds to a minute for full regen. At high levels with gear and buffs roughly doubling your health, it would take roughly twice as long as regen to the base amount. For example you have 1200 base health/45 seconds = 27 health per second (out of combat). Then as you gain bonuses up to 1600 health, keeping the same rate would take a minute for full recovery. Buffed to 2000, it's 75 seconds.

It needs to be slow enough for 20 second snacks to be appealing to non-healers. The ones currently on the vendor are too strong. Perhaps full recovery should be a minute because of that.

Constitution didn't affect it; Vitality says it increases in-combat health regen, but gives fixed energy regardless of combat.

You are right, Amnath. It was vit, not con, that helped regen.

I used to know about how long it took to regen to full, but it just isn't coming to me. I think it was somewhere between 1 and 2 minutes.

If it were 1 minutes, the logic would basically be Base_HP*0.1 every 6 seconds (health came back on a 6 second tick, IIRC).

Health, Energy, Endurance and out of combat regen has been turned into a rule to make it easier to adjust now.
