Not sure if this is a built-in safety precaution, but I set up a spawn script with a ton of quests (23) on him, but didn't set up any of the Quest side - I am testing Dialog Generator. I hailed (right-clicked) the NPC with 23 Quest if/then's and my client was thrown to character select.

My Lua script is incomplete, but error free. Is booting me from the world an expected result of not having a quest set up? Or is this something else?

In the log, shouldn't there be a line indicating that it is calling the 'hailed' function, and the debug line about number of diplomacy options? Those should be there before any script analysis takes place.

Naturally, I paste 1/2 the log, and what you need is in the other half, right? So there's the whole log, from my login (Load World Time) to when I hailed Guard Antonir and took his quest (3222) and immediately went up the hill to High Inquisitor Velman, hailed him and was at Char Select.

I do see 2 'number of diplomacy' options within a half second there. Either the script caused a re-hail to trigger that, or perhaps two right-clicks registered quickly? I've been doing all my testing this week with some quests missing and getting the same warning about not finding quest_info, without crashing.

Did you get a debug assertion? Pretty much any time I drop to character select I find a debug bix up in Visual C++.

This does look like a bug so let me know if you can narrow it down any.

Those number of diplomacy's are 20s apart. First one was Guard Antonir. Second was the Inquisitor because I had to run up the hill to him.

No there was no debug errors in C++, the server didn't crash. My character was just dropped to select, and the world was still there for me to log back into.

I'll try my sequence again, and if it does the same thing I'll package up the scripts+data for you to try locally.

Ha. I was reading the time codes wrong. Yes, pass on any troublesome combinations for proper testing.

Good news, you're off the hook. It was, as we say in highly technical terms, a "server burp".

My exact steps retraced, there was no boot this time.

In fact, I suppose I do see this happening to players in other instances unrelated to Questing at all, on New Telon. The logs are just different because I have all spammy logs turned on for Targonor.
