Bug ID : 202 - Close dialog when vendor screen appears
Bug Date     : 2015/07/01 07:12:42
Assigned To  : Xinux
Priority     : Low

Category     : VGClient
Sub-Category : Graphics: Other
Severity     : Standard
Reproducible : Every time
Details:
1. Chat with an exchange broker.
2. Tell him/her you want to browse the loca market.
3. The market window will pop up, and the original dialog remains open.

I don't know if this is a bug or not, but wanted to mention/bug it in case that dialog is supposed to close.

Need community feedback on this UI behavior. Moldy might be smoking the good stuff.

All vendor/training/exchange windows are suppose to close after a certain distance from the npc. This has not been coded yet.

I think it's time to fix this one, guys. Getting too many bugs about the same thing. How hard can this be?

Ok so here is what will need to happen.

When you start a merchant transaction the client flags itself MerchantTransactionStarted = True and we are going to have to do something similar to that on the server side for the following scenarios.

1. Move past a certain distance from the npc. The distance we could probably just use the MaxInteractionDistance rule we have.
2. Change offensive target while in a merchant transaction
3. Not sure on this one but maybe go into combat?

Basically we need to check IF MerchantTransactionStarted = 1 then send the following two opcodes to the client.
OP_ServerNotInterestedResponse and OP_ServerNotInterestedResponse3

Code: Select all

-- OP_ServerNotInterestedResponse --
7/19/2014 17:23:05
69.174.203.17 -> 192.168.1.3
0000	02 00 84 02 00 00 01 00 00 00 03                ...........

-- OP_ServerNotInterestedResponse3 --
7/19/2014 17:23:05
69.174.203.17 -> 192.168.1.3
0000	02 00 9A 02 00 00 01 00 00 00 03                ...........

Here is a screenshot of the game variable.

The last bug report is a little different. It's talking about closing your inventory (bags) when you finish with a merchant. That's something for me to look into.
