Quests: (Not doing a gear rewards pass unless the quest already had gear rewards).

  • Lessen the Hyena Threat - Updated to current standards. Reward: 30C. Chestpiece Reward. Weapon Reward. The armor listed for 'light fighter' has the exact same stats as the armor listed for medium healer (With Vit on it). This should be changed during the rewards/itemization pass.
  • Poison the Hyenas - Complete. Updated to current standards. Reward: 40C. Cloak. The melee dps cloak is listed as 'light' with only 9 AC yet the healer cloak is medium with 17AC. I feel like this is an oversight. We should edit the melee dps cloak to be medium with 17AC.
  • Varanthari Ceremonial Sword - Complete. Updated to current standards. Reward: 40C
  • Patrol The Road - Complete. Updated to current standards. Reward: 40C
  • The Bandit Note - Complete. Updated to current standards. Reward: 20C
  • Horse Thieves - Complete. Updated to current standards. Reward: 40C This quest was missing in our database so we had to scrape information off the web. Unfortunately we could not find any of the quest text (Except the starting quest text), so I just made it up. If we ever find the original text, we can replace it.
  • Stolen Valuables - Complete. Updated to current standards. Reward: 40C This quest was missing in our database so we had to scrape information off the web. Unfortunately we could not find any of the quest text (Except the starting quest text), so I just made it up. If we ever find the original text, we can replace it.
  • Destroy the Horsethief Supplies - Complete. Reward: 50CThis quest mentions handing you a torch. I had to create the torch item as the only other torch we had was being used by a quest in Halgarad, and I want to keep quest items used for only specific quests.
  • Report to Captain Foorna - Complete. Only needed minor script updates. Reward: 20C.
  • Lion Behavior - Complete. Just needed some minor updates. Reward: 50C
  • A Study of Corruption - Complete. Just needed some minor updates. Reward: Nothing.
  • The Remedy - Complete. Rewards: 70C. Helms. See Note: There are only two helm options on here, a light armor helm and a medium healer helm. That's it. So we'll need to recreate the missing ones. That will be done when we do a full gear rewards pass.
  • The Cleansing - Complete. Reward: 1S Note: This quest specifically says that you can separate as many as you want, but they only require 5. So there's no objective check on this one, you can literally continue to separate as many as you want as long as you have the quest.
  • The Drowned - Complete. This is one of those quests that I just hate. The objective is to kill 10 "Drowned Sailors". The problem: There is literally a mob named "Drowned Sailor". And then you have a dozen other "Drowned" zombies running around. And then you have a bunch of other zombies that do not have drowned in their name. So I'm not sure which ones are supposed to be added to this quest. So we've put all the "Drowned ____" in the quest and left it at that.
  • Serpent of Siharis - Complete. Reward: 40C.
  • The Expert - Complete. Reward: 40C.
Mobs:
05/01/2021
  • Horsethief Lookout - Updated loot drop script for the quests "Patrol the Road" and "The Bandit Note".
  • Matali - Redid script for the drop for "Lion Behavior"
  • Freed Lion - Added generic timed despawn script onto it for the quest "The Cleansing".
  • Vile Yothkai - Added generic attack script onto it for the quest "The Cleansing".
  • Various "Drowned" NPCs - Added loot drop for the "Serpent of Siharis Logbook" which starts a quest.
Objects:
05/01/2021
  • Mutilated Carcass - Updated to current standards and practices for the quest "Poison the Hyenas". For clickable objects like this where there is just one, and people might be in groups, I've stopped despawning them on interact. But I have set it so that the sparklies stop for a time after doing so. This way groupmates can immediately follow up without waiting for the respawn.
  • Skeleton - Updated to current standards and practices for the quest " Varanthari Ceremonial Sword ".
  • Chest of Valubles - There's only one "Chest" object in all of Lomshir and two completely separate quests need them. So I decided to make a "Chest of Valuables" specifically for the quest "Stolen Valuables". This makes the scripting simpler and doesn't leave as much room for errors.
  • Horsethief Supplies - Redid the script from scratch. Used for the quest "Destroy the Horsethief Supplies". I also added in a fire effect to consume the supply sack just before it despawns.
Items:
05/01/2021
  • The Bandit Note: Updated with current item-quest-starting code for the quest "Patrol The Road"
  • Freynoura's Torch: Created specifically for the quest "Destroy the Horsethief Supplies". It is not scripted.
  • Cleansing Potion: Updated to current standards and practices.
  • Serpent of Siharis Logbook - Updated with current item-quest-starting code for the quests "Serpent of Siharis"
Other Thoughts:
  • Around the shipwreck, there are a bunch of 3 dot mobs just congregating there. I have a feeling they aren't supposed to be there. And when we do cleanup, I think we should get rid of them or put them in or closer to the ship. Where they are makes no sense and actually gets in the way.

  • Horselord Mineon Frenouran - Checked script, no changes needed right now.
  • Horoun Dalan - redid script from scratch
  • Guard Reeva - redid script from scratch
  • Harjas Rajna - redid script from scratch
  • Atiaya Dvibha - redid script from scratch
  • Guard Rougan - redid script from scratch
  • Captain Nakaue - redid script from scratch. I set it up so that if you've already done the quest "The Tale of Captain Nakaue", that you can go through his dialog again. I know a lot of people don't pay attention the first time through and might want to read it later.
Quests: (Not doing a gear rewards pass unless the quest already had gear rewards).
05/02/2021
  • The Water Diamond - Updated with current loot handling code. Reward: 1S. Choice of Rare earrings.
  • Stolen Goods - Complete. This takes place in Lomshir Plain.
  • Barbarian Aid - Filled in the missing text. Reward: 20C and Shoes. (With missing stats)
  • Fallen Allies - Complete. Minor updates. Reward: 60C
  • Fletcher Extraordinaire - Complete This is listed as a level 1 adventuring quest, but older sites say this is a level 5 quest. It reads like a diplo quest, but I can't find any evidence of this. So I'm setting it up as we have it. The turn in and completion text were missing, so I filled in the blanks.
  • Paying a Debt - Missing from the database but the second quest after Fletcher Extraordinaire. So I set it up. Since we have no quest text, I had to fill in the blanks.
  • Annoying Pups - Complete. Very minor update needed. Reward: 60C and Gloves. Gloves are missing the tank option.
  • Basilisk Claws - Complete. Very minor update needed. Reward: 60C
  • As You Wish - Complete. Quest had to be redone from scratch. Reward 60C.
  • The Dark Horse Track - Complete. Minor updates. Reward: 80C This quest takes you out of the chunk.
  • The Tale of Captain Nakaue - No changes needed.
  • Portals of the Abyss - Very minor update needed. Reward: 1S 40C and Gloves.
  • For Restless Souls - Had to redo the NPC list for the kill updates. There's so many copies of each of the mobs (Some sitting, some flying) that I had to make sure each one was on there. It was just easier to redo the list.
  • Vexxing Bark - I set this quest so only GMs can take it right now. Why? Well it's ridiculous. Basically it goes like this "We're in a cult, but we won't call it that, we need you to kill a dude for us because we can't. We'll give you 80 Copper." And the player is just like "okay". Yeah, no. This needs more, even if we have to make up our own quests for it. It's in the middle of nowhere and I don't even know why a player would go up there.

  • Shellback Bill - Removed loot from his script and put it on the loot table (Now that we have that implemented).
  • Serpent Ruffian - removed it from the quest "The Water Diamond"
  • Serpent Thug - Created based on the Serpent Ruffian so we can spawn and despawn it for "The Water Diamond"
  • Kitveera Shaniq - No scripting or anything done to this mob, but I can't find any loot for it. It's a named dominated Kurashasa for the quest "Fallen Allies". So we'll need to get some loot for it later.
  • Savannah Basilisk - Updated script with current loot drop code.
  • Blackheart - Removed loot from his script and put it on the loot table (Now that we have that implemented).
  • CURUDYN - Removed loot from his script and put it on the loot table (Now that we have that implemented).
  • FURUDYN - Removed loot from his script and put it on the loot table (Now that we have that implemented).
  • LURUDYN - Removed loot from his script and put it on the loot table (Now that we have that implemented).
  • SULUDYN - Removed loot from his script and put it on the loot table (Now that we have that implemented).

  • Chest - Rescripted for "The Water Diamond"
  • Box of Antiques (Lomshir Plain) - Updated to current standards. This is for the quest "Stolen Goods" and takes place in Lomshir Plain (Which is a separate chunk from Lomshir).
  • Portal of Aklaash/Duqthar/Slaakr/Zuthg: Updated to current standards for the quest "Portals to the Abyss". Added animation. The animation lasts a little too long, but I think it works for now.

  • Box of Antiques - Edited the "Where Found Text" to include the quest, "Stolen Goods"
  • Water Diamond - Edited the "Where Found Text" to include the quest, "The Water Diamond"
  • Small Coinpurse - Created for the quest "Paying a Debt"
  • Basilisk Claw - Edited the "Where Found Text" to include the quest, "Basilisk Claws"
  • Supply Order - Edited the "Where Found Text" to include the quest, "The Dark Horse Track"
Other Thoughts:
  • Chunk Script: Edited for the quest "As You Wish" so that mobs killed within a certain area would update the quest.
  • There are two areas in the south part of Lomshir that looks like it was intended to be used (via quests) and have nothing. One of them is the Golden Leaf people who have the quest "Vexxing Bark". The other is Vashael (With a lot of ghosts and this cool dude that's the "Judge of Souls". I really want to do something with both of these areas as an alternative to the ship, for soloers or people that might not want to do the ship dungeon.

    Cyral: The Disciple of the Golden Leaf: He's trying to ressurrect an ancient druid treant guy or something. He has one quest. Just one. I can't find any evidence that he had any others anywhere, probably because no one came up here. Currently the quest just makes no sense as stand alone. But what I'd like to do is have Captain Foorna tell you to come up here and deal with these people. Cyral then sends you on a bunch of quests, mostly to keep you busy and away from his ritual. There are some wyvern nests with clickable eggs here. There are dryads (With a named) here, and some random other critters. All of these can be used.

    Vashael: This is still set to level 20's. This is a super cool area with *no known quests*. I might set this to more like level 10-12. It would be a good in between for Lomshir and Dark Horse Downs. The main NPC is a big winged thing that is the "Judge of Souls". I think he should judge the Players in some way that forces them to act in some manner, not only to prove themselves, but to escape his nefarious plans for their souls.

Okay, I am now starting over with the armor rewards in mind. I'm going to do like I did with Dahknarg and set this up with IOD style gear. Before anyone complains, VG itself did this when it redid all the starter areas and forced you into one of four starting locations. Because of this, most of the stats on the original gear was lost. So, here's the quest list and what it currently has for gear rewards:

My notes/questions/to do cleanup goals:
1*) Quest 1454: player can choose from two medium armor rewards, but both ones have the same attributes
2*) Paladin / Bard / Cleric / Monk instructors look the same, currently they all stand side by side. If we are ok with them, I'd find them better spot (incl changing POI in the Db)
3) Quest 9596 - thinking of adding Atiaya Dvibha's POI to quest
4) NPC pathers need script fix - not stopping after hailing
5) Not every NPC has a dialogue set
6*) NPC Karlin Renth - this NPC has three spawns, looks like ready to be combined, I'm not sure for what is this NPC ready (quest?)
7) Kitveera Shaniq mob named should be prolly combined with Dominated Kurashassan
8) Yellow mobs need the cleanup (reduce/combine/change the random movement)
9) Roots and clusters need to be combined (some)
10) East part of the chunk - lvl 18-20 stuck ghosts and skeletal ones should be combined + added movement
11) Sunken ship dungeon (Serpent of Sihari) needs cleanup
12) NPC The traveler - have to check the quest related to him (multiple spawns, which is prolly ok based on the scripts)
13) Quest 1616: Guard Roguan wants 5 Cackler pups slayed round the City, but only 12 of them placed - hard to find them; thinking of adding some more to make this easy quest less frustrating :)

I'm still working on the quest rewards so don't worry about them. Don't forget you need to check out Qur'Xa too.

The Traveler is part of the diplo questline so you might need to go through that first before you mess with him (I haven't done it yet).

If you're looking at changing the appearance of Kurshasa trainers, you will change their pelt color too. You cannot just change their armor ( Something I discovered). So all tank instructors WILL look the same, All medium wearing instructors will look the same and all caster instructors will look the same. There's nothing we can do about that, that we've found, given the way Sigil set it up. I don't know if the same is true for the Varanthari.

Lastly, almost all the hail scripts are super, super old if they exist at all and should be redone just so they're updated with all the bells and whistles of the dialog generator scripts.

No stress with the instructors, I'll separate them :)
Yep, already been in the Temple of Qur'XA, just have forgotten to put this on my list above. Adding it now. I have tested just the teleports there to see whole dungeon

The issue is that the item was not removed from the inventory and player tried to click on it; maybe it would be better to make the item disappear after the quest hand over.
There was a typo in the remove item line for the completed function. It has been fixed but someone needs to reload quests in that chunk before it will work in game.

Starting clean up job in Lomshir today (better say I continue with what has already begun during June).

Currently disabling all the random movements and grouping up the mobs.

Notes for later:
- need to reallocate instructors, they are placed together (10 of them) = change/set new POI
- locations behind the portals: need to find out what is their purpose, don't know that from VG live; not much set there atm (NPCs) //going to create brand new kurashasa char to get more familiar with this loc
