John, I feel encouraged by both of your comments. I think that allowing all buffs to stack and then tweaking them as necessary to balance power is a nice idea.

I also disliked it. I felt that it was an unnecessary simplification/alteration, possibly implemented (from memory) as a means to reduce server load by reducing the number of buffs cast.
