Thank you very much Aasha and Isoel for setting this up for the community. I am not a fan of facebook and thus I do not have an account, nor do i wish to set one up. Is there a Google+ group/hangout for the castaways of telon? I signed up at the website.
If one is wanted, I can make it. I have already created a gmail account for our community resource YouTube account, so it would not take much at all. Just let me know.
The forums look GREAT! I might just cancel facebook now! I am getting tired of family members inviting me to play Jelly Bean or Candy Corn or some other silly game because they know I'm a "Gamer", sheeesh

I've been messaging FB support for a 'block all' button when it comes to game apps LOL I can't stand them! Far as the Google + goes, I've never looked at it, so wouldn't know where to start, but I have a Google account so I'm sure Aasha and I could figure something out if more people want it. My only worry is having to many splits and if something happens (like the group photo I want to do before the game is gone) and information doesn't get relayed. Far as those who don't have/want Facebook, totally understandable, which is why I'm super thankful to Aasha for setting up the forums for us Want to keep our community together cuz, well, we're pretty freaking awesome LOL
To be honest, I probably will check the new website/forums more than Facebook. I think it's better to have one spot when you can, that way it's easier to keep up with everyone. As is now, I am posting on Castaways, Here, and Facebook. LOL.
Far as the future I see the forums more for the official posts, and slightly more serious side for discussions ect, and the Facebook will probably be the more laid back side, with a few good gaming Memes and links. I plan on making sure any major announcements will make it to both the Facebook group and the forums.
Okie doke...just a few things: 1. I know how to and can set up a Google+ community, that is no issue in the setting it up if we have enough Google+ folks that want it. I have 5 folks on my personal Google+ account that might be interested in joining a G+ community, but I am hopeful they will come to the community forums. 2. Presently, our Facebook group has 106 members. I maintain a spreadsheet of all of our members and, if provided to me, their character(s) name(s) and guild. This means checking a spreadsheet against the current list of members nearly daily because even though Isoel and I admin the group, we do not get notifications when someone chooses to leave the group only when requests are made to join...so yeah, it's a lil bit to have to do. 3. Being that when I set up our community site I created community resource accounts for storing game video and screenshots, I would really like to see the community forums being the main place for all community communication then that way if something does not make its way to the FB group or G+ community, then it would not be of great concern as our community would know to check the forums first.
I'm not a facebook fan either so I'll be on the forums. Don't count me in on the google either. It'll be too much for visiting both. You're going to make me into a regular visitor / poster at this rate! I've never posted to the forums as much as I have here and on the guild site.. and I'm only a Member rank!
I will use the main site forums for my communications. Aasha do not use up any of your time setting up G+ site unless there's an overwhelming need to have one. This is getting like planning for "The Day After".
LOL The Diabolical Duo! Anyway..... IMHO the forums will be the best place to call home. In the long run facebook is controlled by outside powers and the same can be said for google. http://www.castawaysoftelon.com/ is ours!
Hello everyone, just wanted to drop a quick note here... The forums as www.castawaysoftelon.com have gotten a few hits thus far from spam bots. I have the membership to the forums set so that I have to actually authorize the member and put them in the proper group prior to their posting so as to more effectively control spam posting. I have asked that folks register using their main character's name (either previous or current) so as to help recognize an authentic registration.
