Re: Private/Custom Server question
[quote="John Adams"] My "vision" if you will, would be to restore Vanguard:Saga of Heroes to it's multi-server, iPVP concepts from the original Beta and days of release, where we had leaderboards across multiple servers to build a massive community. I just kinda wonder in this day of there being 200 ...

And most of very blechy. Original POTA was pretty sweet. I hated the KDQ content and I could never get myself to grind my level 50. Silius is just a bad producer/lead designer. I did, however, like his original crafting.

Re: Contribution
Yeah I think the biggest change was for IoD. I suppose the harvesting change could have just been done on the server side? I just remember a bunch of patches back in 2007 where I'd swear I was downloading a new vgclient.exe every time. Been a while, so maybe I'm misremembering? They made some pretty ...

Re: Contribution
I know they changed the client, just don't know when exactly. I def want the pre-IoD client (GU 6? in 2008) as I loathe everything IoD represents My belief is that there was a new client for the harvesting changes in late 2007/mid 2008 (I'll figure out the exact patch) where harvesting nodes went ...

Re: Contribution
Wow. I spent around four hours on Monday trying to see if there was a collection of patches for VG anywhere - I would be very interested in access to patches from the January 2007 to APW era (January 2008). My personal impossible goal (once the the Emu is complete) is to replicate, as best as ...

Re: VGOEmu Progress
Wow cool!
I will download and archive SV and a few other wikis this weekend just to be on the safe side Additionally, hopefully someone has Zewtastic's old site archived somewhere.

Re: VGOEmu Progress
Good to know. I'm not interested in Live (in large part due to IoD/no racial starting ares, in smaller part everything else) but I'll do what I can to help you get the emulator finished including playing the current despised game for data collection After which I'll work to get the content back to ...

Re: VGOEmu Progress
Willing to login and collect packets. Also I'm very curious at exactly what version of Vanguard you're looking to emulate? 2007 Vanguard - despite it's lag and bugs had the best mix of quests, items and charm. 2008 Vanguard - added the APW raid zone but started taking away some of the fun of ...
