Would someone be kind enough to turn the auto kick barrier off so we can run around and take screenshots and videos to remember this area before the game shuts down? There is no reason to keep this Gnome city locked, since there is no further progression or development on the game, it would be a real shame to stop everyone from being able to experience such an awesome city before it goes away for good. this was one of the cities that made VG so awesome and unique. All that needs to be done is for someone to disable/turn off the force field/barrier that auto kicks you out if you try to run in, I doubt it would be any effort at all. Please? it would mean a lot to many people.
i thought they opened it up ages ago ? not that i looked, i try to stay far away from those pesky halfers
I remember people asking if they could open it up, but I don't remember if they actually did. If its still shut, please please do open it up. I would love to go take some screenshots there to add to my VG collection.
It is still well and truly locked down with that barrier and there is a scripted event where 5 dot level 55 elementals path out from the dungeon entrance and the Makalia Regulars attack them on the backs of wyrms. I really wish they could just open it up to walk through and take screenshots and videos to remember the place by, it was an awesome underground city!

Same here, Kilsin! It seems we have been asking for this since Silius left. We had hoped that our March on Mekalia would have gotten some attention, but it seems that it, like too many things, was overlooked. If it does get reopened then I will have to make the hard decision of taking Aasha back to Mekalia for the final camp or home to The Red Dragon Inn...decisions decisions... Hey there Alimora, "Can't Get Enough of Your Stuff" comes at 250 likes. It seems that the trophies come at 1, 25, 100, 250 and evidently "I Love It" comes at 500 likes - but not there yet, sitting at 388 likes.
Haha I don't think so mate I use the "like" system a bit differently than most, so it may look like I spam "likes" with an OCD determination but I really use it to notify people to stay in the conversation or bring them back or I use it like a book mark to show where I have read up to, I do it on FB too, it just makes things easier lol And some things I "like" because I like them...but yeah, I have a system, it may sound crazy but it works lol
I have PMed 4 community managers and 2 devs and some random red name I have never seen before, in the hopes someone sees it and passes it on to someone who can flick a switch and turn the barrier off, it really shouldn't be that hard and it would bring a lot of happiness to many people locked out of their home!
I was going to set up more Marches on Mekalia, but when they posted they weren't going to open anymore areas, I gave up on that plan. I too am very disappointed they didn't at least reopen Mekalia.
I have heard back from a CM and she (I don't want to post her name incase she gets bombarded with PMs lol) very nicely said that she would look into it for us, of course there is no promises but the fact that she is kind enough to do this means a lot. Fingers crossed...
I haven't played the game for months, so no, I didn't know but I would rather be able to legitimately walk through Mekalia and take screen shots/video without using exploits etc
Yeah you can legitimately walk through Mekalia without using any exploits, its a very simple way to get in just gotta know what to do.
If that is the case, it is still against what the Devs designed and not everyone visits the forums or knows how to do this Mortanious, so even if this is possible, I would still like for Mekalia to be opened up legitimately for everyone to enter and exit as they please without needing special knowledge or having to use any tricks/special tactics to get in and stay in. Someone is looking into this for us so hopefully we will hear back shortly with some positive news.
Wasn't Moorgard working on EQN after he left us? I will wait a few more days to see if we get a response but if not, I will try him, or you could! I am spamming a lot of red names and they will probably ignore me soon (if they haven't already!)
Moorgard is working on getting the soe kitten name Voxel on twitter. I tried to get the kitten named Kotasoth, but it apparently failed miserably. Any other Vanguard specific kitten names would be lovely to send his way on twitter
