Content Bugs

  1. Hey everyone,
    We have been working on the game's content and revamping it in preparation for F2P. We are hoping to get the first wave of this on test soon and would like your help in identifying bugged content we may have missed. Please post here content bugs that you are aware of so that we can take a look at them.
    Please use this format so it is easy on us to find them.

    Please try to keep the posts civil we are just looking for information. This is not a forum for bringing up class issues or the like please just the information I listed above. Thank you for the help all.
  2. Here we go. I will add new posts as I remember.
    BUG (1) Event Name: Sisters Event in POTA (Can't remember the quest name).
    Chunk: Strand of the Ancients (Qalia)
    Only members who are in Group 1 get the quest when you start the event. Group 2 Members can't either get the quest or get Credit -- I forget. This is a 12 man event. Please fix this.
    BUG (2) Item Name: Bosonic Fluxxing Gammatizer (BFG)
    Chunk: Shores of Darkness (Thestra)
    This is supposed to be a Tier 3 KDQ Crate drop. I don't think anyone has seen this drop till date on live servers. Please look to see if this really drops and the fix the drop rate.

    BUG (3) Quest Name: Night of the Zull.
    Chunk: Rahz Inkur (Qalia).
    The last quest Night of the Zull requires that you can 5 x Blazing Efreeti Essences killed off palace named mobs - Majordomo Djarn, Warlord Seskerlan, Shaluu and Khorr. Warlord and Majordomo drop the essences. But Shaluu and Khorr don't. Please fix this so that Shaluu and Khorr do drop Blazing Efreeti Essences.

    BUG (4) NPC Name: Archmagus Shendu
    Chunk: Tomb of Lord Tsang.
    Shendu's Wyrms and Drakes still remain up after Shendu is killed. Please change this so that the Drakes will despawn after Shendu dies.
    Please change the static spawn nature of Fishbait the Earthworm. Probably have it spawn once every 5-7 days with and +/- 10-20 hours to his spawn timer. It would be nice to see ONE aug from this mob go to ONE raider every week. But 12-14 days wouldn't be bad either.
    Shendu summons one additional person on his hate list apart from the Main Tank. We can still kill him with no issues. But please check if this is the intended feature of this encounter.

    REQUEST (1) Quest Name: Hammer of Unity.
    Chunk: Dargun's Tomb
    Item Name: Mithril shards.
    You need 7 Mithril Shards each player. This approximately drops once for every 12-15 Dwarven Ghosts that get killed. Only one player can loot it at a time. It would be nice to have drop a little more frequently (like once every 5 kills or so).

    REQUEST (2) Certain Spell Upgrade Drops being soulbound
    NPC Names: APW Mini Named mobs, Sparkles the Irritated, Karax Woefather.
    So the Spell Upgrade drops from these mobs are marked Soulbound only. Stuff like Superior Courage, Orb of Corruption, Carrion of Depravity II, Manual of Vital Strikes II, Avatar of the Spirit Warrior etc.
    There are spell drops from other raid mobs that are tradable (like APW wing boss mobs) that are tradable apart from the ones that drop in Rahz Inkur, Nusibe and Temple of Tehetamani.
    Please make all spell upgrade drops tradable.
  3. Please remove the Shimmering Souls from the skinning loot table or implement pota B...
    Please remove the red page drops (pg 6, pg12 top and bottom, pg 33, pg 42 top and bottom, pg 56, pg 71, pg 243, pg 422, and pg 424) or implement/finish the quest.
  4. Are you looking for general bugs, or just bugs in the content you are gona put on test ?
    also, if and when you put content on test, let us know exactly where to test please, else its a needle in a haystack.
  5. Bridge of DestinyNamed in towers, specially ednies, there are sweetspots at about 5m range where you dont get summoned and dont take damage
    Fix, increase the hit range of the mob, or decrease the summon range to 4m, and perhaps summon 2 targets on the agro list instead of 1.
    would also suggest a dmg increase of 20% on all named, they hit for less than the normal elementals...
    remove the sharks, they serve no purpose anymore with all the fly bugs

    Logging
    Several abilities do not log / parse correctly. some have no owner others have show as the mob inflicting damage on itself, and some abilities only show up for the user itself and not for others in group / raid.
    Bloodmage: blood tribute, entwining vein, bloodthinner. only show the damage part of the ability and does not show the heals from it to anyone else in raid besides the bm, and the person healed.

    Dragon monk: Fist of celerity modifiers do not apply on the logs, but do damage the mob for certain dots, feet of the fire dragon and, Sundering Dragon Blast.
    Disciple: inner light v / vi, sometimes has no owner.
    Diciple: touch of woe all ranks, show the mob doing damage to itself, instead of the owner doing the damage

    Cleric, [22:33:23] Giant Ooze is purged, taking 1366 damage., no clue which ability no owner.
    Cleric, renewal vi, [22:29:27] The proc effect of Myyn's Renewal IV heals your for 155. Typo should say Heals You, not your.
    no idea who's this is, but no owner: [22:29:40] Arch Magus Shendu looks fevered and takes 1115 points of damage.
    and [22:42:16] Arch Magus Shendu's internal organs burst, causing 4331 damage. maybe somone can identiy them.

    The proc replicate, which you recently "fixed" but really actually nerfed it, which sucks because it was weak to start with, [22:29:31] Replicate hits Arch Magus Shendu for 560 damage. no owner. found on among others, devine claws
  6. Quest: Magicborn quest (not sure of name of quest)
    Chunk: Sorrow's Heart
    This is supposedly a 12 man raid event, but many times people get left outside when porting in. If the wrong people get left out, you have to abandon the quest, which takes 30 minutes to reset. Also, the very 1st time you are supposed to use Griffon Strike is a guess, he doesn't do his normal routine like the other 11 times.

    seconded by dozens of others . having the random number generator award you an "orange" or "red" item that is useless is much more frustrating to a large nuimber of people , moreso than the few broken quests that impact someone occasionally.

  9. Class: Sorc Bug: Proc from taqmir's barrage. You get the buff for + energy regen but it gets over written by lets say another proc like superior chaos volley.
    Class: Any caster that has evac? Bug: Evac on certain chunks. Group will get evaced caster will hang then get booted to char select after certain amount of mins just stuck on loading screen. esp. in SOD.
    Chunk: SOD Bug : Fllight bug still persistent till today.
    Item: Sword of Broken Visions EE gets taken off when you equip another item with EE. Example equip Sword of Broken Visions then varking sheild. Varking EE shows up Sword of Broken Visions EE vanishes.
    Chunk: Renton Keep Mob: Moth mob in between the two lakes.(Mostly around a tree) They are LVL 18 3 dot red but they dont aggro at all.
    Just an idea. Energy Shards from sorc make em tradable/no rent pls...

  11. Quest: Griffons of a Feather part 4: Take me to the races
    Chunk: Spires keep
    Issue: The even with Sano is highly bugged. Certain pieces of gear with a damage shield or proc on hit can dismount you including the IoD and KDQ diplo items and the KDQ 50 slot bag will dismount you. It sometimes fails to spawn the orbs, even after waiting for the animation of Sano attacking. Flying directly over Sano will dismount you. Sometimes the orbs despawn for no reason. Sometimes the magic from the orbs is reflected, but still damages the player. Sometimes if a reflect is missed and the player takes damage, the event bugs out and multiple hits to the player will come from one orb all at once.
    In general the quest does not really fit in with VG. It is like one of those filler minigames in a lot of single player games that require the player to be very dexterous and jump from object to object (but in VG add in lag + bugs).

    Quest: KDQ named quests
    Chunk: KDQ chunks
    Issue: Scrappy spawning when named mobs are killed and making the group unable to spawn mounts or cast anything. Poisons and diseases will still tick down players' HP when he is up. It does not add anything to the enjoyment of the game to have to wait to cast or spawn a mount while Scrappy is up.
    Solution: remove Scrappy (not Slappy) from the game or at least remove the invuln/stop cast from him.

  12. Quest : Eradication
    Quest : Tunnel Pipes
    Chunk : Mekalia
    Problem : Both of these quests reference pipes that are not there and require interaction with these missing pipes to complete.

    Quest : Peculiar Fragments
    Chunk : Three Rivers
    Problem : The fallen star crystals by the lake that you are supposed to harvest for the quest are not clickable.

    Quest : Kill the Cheerleaders
    Chunk : Lost Canyon
    Problem : Unable to spawn Hemocyte Etcharak for required quest kill. One GM said it's a location spawn trigger and working properly yet another GM (nor my group) was unable to spawn the required mob with the given instructions from the first GM.

    Quest : ? somewhere in the Unicorn Questline to feed dates to foals
    Chunk : Strand of the Ancients
    Problem : Quite often a foal (or two) will be missing from its mother's side and so there will not be the required 15 foals to feed dates to. Hours of frustration searching for the final foal when this happens.

    Items : Various quest tagged drops
    Chunk : Old Targonor
    Problem : There are about four or five different quest tagged items that drop in this chunk that have no quests in the game associated with them.

    Description of Problem: Flight Speed bug, randomly have your flight speed halved usually while chunking but can happen even just flying around making sharp turns/stopping and starting again.

    Description of Problem: God Walk - usually happens while chunking, you get dismounted and remain in the air usually with half your flight speed sometimes maintaining your flight speed.

  15. Quest,Item, or NPC name: Griffon Quest: Creepy Cadavers (I can't remember which chapter it is) Chath Event
    Chunk: Heroes' Plain
    Description of Problem: Chath requires that the group gets teleported into the dungeon together so it can be completed. Unless you get a GM to reset the chunk, the chances of the entire group getting ported is slim. And then it makes you wait 10 minutes for the encounter to reset. Repeat this a few times over and you can see why this is annoying.

    Quest,Item, or NPC name: Griffon Quest: Syd
    Chunk: Southern Stonepine Ridge
    Description of Problem: During the event, a giant spectral griffon appears and firebombs the area. Sometimes this bugs out and causes the griffon to hit the tank several times within a second for 3-5k. (Doing about 15-20k at once) Normally it should only hit the tank once or twice. When it hits that many times, that fast, it's impossible for any tank to stay alive. It also hits through invulns.

    Quest,Item, or NPC name: Haelifur's Trial
    Chunk: Strand of the Ancients
    Description of Problem: This actually relates to several trials that require you stay in the altar. But on the last wave of Haelifur, it's pretty notorious. During the final wave, everyone will get kicked. Even if you stay in the altar, sometimes it will kick you up high enough that you will fail the trial even though you did not leave the area.

    Chunk: MULTIPLE CHUNKS (Nusibe is a good place to see it in action)
    Description of Problem: Can't climb stairs

  18. chunk: tomb of lord tsang
    description: the named fishbait the mighty earthworm is on an exact 20 day timer.
  19. Item: Elemental Earring of Measure

    Chunk: Drops from Summoner Yerkj in IoG

    Problem: The effect "Elemental Measure" on it is randomly lost after a period of time, sometimes even mid-combat. The item then has to be unequipped and re-equipped to regain the effect (which is not possible in-combat).

    Item: Cracked Ulvari Shard

    Chunk: Drops from Archmagus Zodafin in Sea of Kojan

    Problem: The ability "Destructive Sight" on it is not increasing the duration damage-over-time spells like it claims.

    Item: Night Eye, Boulders

    Chunk: Foraged anywhere, Tomb of Lord Tsang

    Problem: The item claims it lets me see invisible objects. But it doesn't let me see the invisible boulders that are scattered around Shendu's cave.

    Item: Void Shard

    Problem: Proc never goes off.

    Mob: Ataraxis the Devourer and Zaseh the Wise (in PoTA)

    Chunk: PoTA

    Problem: The nuke randomly fails to activate. The mob will do the emote for the nuke, but then the nuke doesn't always come. There are countless speculations on what causes it to fail, my personal belief is: The nuke is a spell that the mob casts on itself, and if it's casting another spell (one of its debuffs or its rain or such) when the nuke is supposed to go off, it prevents the nuke from happening.

    Mob: Most of the mobs in PoTA

    Problem: Respawn mechanics allow individuals to troll a raid event. If a psionicist (or small group) goes in and kills 1 faery near the chicken fight, it sets the respawn time for all mobs in that area. A guild can come in later and kill all of the faeries, start the chicken fight, then very shortly later have all of the faeries that they just killed respawn.

    This is arguably more of an opinion than a bug:

    Items: Vampire Tooth Earring, Stone Stud, Replican's Faceplate, Fengrot's Eyeball, Kamelott Battery of Soul Force 5000, others

    Chunk: Various

    Problem: High end healer items that for some unknown reason are not druid usable.
