Thought I would make a thread for people to post pictures from around Telon...maybe say something about it...just something to go along with the photo...maybe a comment about the lands and some lore or a little RP story :) Telon is to beuatiful to not share some of the breathtaking vistas and whatnot.

Ilaleth sits enjoying one of his favorite practices...meditating in the meadows that spread out among the upper highlands of Thestra. Soon after a hunt on the lands surrounding Trengal Keep. The One has looked down upon him today and blessed him with ample gifts of unblemished specimens of Boar and Bear.

Having gutted and bled the evenings hunt...he goes alone to a large clearing and focuses all his mental energy on Lao'Jin and Ra'Jin. In these passed days he has not been able to converge the dual aspects of his psyche. Doubt creeps in on him as he wonders if these ancient practices of the Kojani are merely mind games for men to play.

Hypnotically he focus's on a nearby Oak tree and the ambiance of the drizzling rain and blowing wind seem to whisper softly to him....

    ........Theindal........Theindal.........he is your Lord......

A crack of thunder rips him from his trance.....the storm is picking up and he needs to get back to the Inn....he walks silently deep in thought.

(I do not know if the lore of disciples is based on them being Kojani or Qualian...seemed oriental so I went with Kojani :p)

The beautiful plains of southern Qalia...any self respected hunter has downed plenty of the massive game animals that prowl this unforgiving habitat.

Lost city of Rahz Inkur...taken by the dark Lord Djarn...lately, many honorable souls have ventured in to end his madness...none have returned.

The luscious banks of the Qa River... children from the local camps swim in the waters without fear, even though many of them know that at anytime one of the gargantuan snappers could swallow them whole in one bite...the massive reptiles claim the lives of adults and children alike...especially during the dry season when the riverbank becomes crowded with thirsty nomadic tribes.

I will say though that the fishing is absolutely fantastic if you know the right spots.

The outskirts of the Temple of Tehatamani..showing some of the VI Dynasty traditional tombs.

"We face the corrupted Tehatamani Empire, an empire that used to travel through portals and pillage other civilizations for their magical artifacts. A century or more ago they returned from one of their thieving expeditions and whatever they had stolen corrupted them further than they already were."

"The Tehatamani Empire is locked in combat with the Xakrin, the last civilization that the Tehatamani Empire stole from before they became corrupted. The Xakrin are an evil race composed of corrupted statues and stone cats bent on recovering the artifact that corrupted them and the Tehatamani."

Any reason why I can't get my pic to show up on this and yet I'm using Imageshack?

The Isle Of Dawn is cleared of its people. A storm only moments away from down pour. Trees rock back and forth from pushy winds. While it may have forced the people's labor to stop, they now may enjoy the indoors with much earned rest sooner than expected. From a large boulder someone watches.

A Karushasa takes in the silence of the emptiness on the road. All but one villager remains, who runs for runs for shelter then stops when he spots the man-cat looking down at the village. A rumble of thunder sounds off, shaking the sky. Feline ears twich. The man looks up and yells. "Sazaal, you should get down fom there."

Saazal says nothing. His eyes closed. Tufted ears do not stand straight up, they are laxed. Rain starts to fall. Beads of drops collect upon his fuzzy head. He inhales a deep breathe, then exhales. It is the first moment of peace felt since stranded on Telon. Would he ever see another Kurashasa ever again? Were his people meant to be transported here and he is the only one who made it or are they else where? Did they even make at all to this world? He cannot know, yet. This moment captures him in time. This place and the kojans ease his loss. His spirit soars. By the time he opens his eyes, the man is gone. Sazaal takes one last look at the natural beauty that surrounds everyone here before leaping down to the ground for his own shelter.

Home. The interior of a peasant home is simple as the wilderness is exotic. They are but simple farmers and tradesmen low on the social caste but vital to the kingdom. Like them, Sazaal has little to spare for comodeties. This is no different than how he once lived before arriving on Telon.

Sazaal lights a candle then sits upon the cot in the room he boards. His robe dries somehwhere close to the entrance. Alone, he listens to the weather tap the walls and roof with every drop it can pelt the place with. Wind gains strength, shaking up the place. Flashes outside lights up the window close to where he rests his head at night. Thunder follows. Moments later light brighter than before makes the outside look like a flare when it is first ignited, white hot. The lightning bolt landed so close this time he felt the field of energy raising the hairs of his damp fur. It startles him not though. He simply does as he did outside before dashing indoors. Listening.

Outside the storm shows its full power. Sazaal's room, one of several to the building not far from the riverbank. Cat-o-nine tails stand tall against the wind. Behind those plants something watches the place where the kurashasa calls his lair. It hisses low toned. It's suspicions are correct. At first it thought the staticy air was to blame for being so restless. Then it realized the lightning was not to blame. Something else resonates a lower field of threatening power. It is some mortal creature dwelling inside.

Thank you. Partof my reason of joining Vanguard, and a great part of it is, to create a story for others to enjoy. As people once alot of people from the Fironia Vie server in Everquest used to do ALOT. That's alot of the fun I think.

We arrived when the moon was highest in the sky, having traveled all the way from the southeast islands we were finally done running from them. We both felt that they would not look this far west for us, we needed to find a place to rest and obtain nourishment.

On the Morrow we shall decide what to do, hopefully there is some work for hardened mercenaries like ourselves.

I am anxious to see where this road will take us, Theindal has protected us so far, may our Lord continue to guide us.

((I just wanted to take a moment to thank you all, and commend you for your contributions to this thread! I have been eagerly going over ideas that I can contribute, but as things presently stand with my main PC (my gaming PC), I am not even able to visit the official forums, so I would have to emailing screenshots to myself, retrieve them on my laptop and then post them, but I am still hoping to contribute soon! If any of you are interested in RPing in game, please do check out the /tavern channel and look up Dhelmar (guild leader of Blackstone) and I, as we and our people would be most happy to have a pint with you and share a tale or three!

    All the best!!))

Love these screenshots, guys. When I'm playing at home sometime I'll have to snap a few shots. Don't quite get that high of graphical fidelity on the work machines.

Upon defeating the mighty lion, there is time to take in the awesome view from Ruquasa's Pride. Tomorrows journey shall be along the crooked road before him. For tonight, resting under the moonlight is needed. In the morning it will be time to begin anew. He must be rested, cautious and courageous for the road ahead. Adventure indeed, danger always lurking, but his destiny awaits..............

OOC: My apologies for not contributing to this wonderful thread recently. Been testing other characters and I was sick for two weeks as well. I will have something soon though. I love this game and its story content, along with what I've seen some others bring to it with their own characters.
