Sunset time on 31st August 2014?

This is important to a lot of players, like myself, who live in other countries, we will probably need to get on very early or be up late to say goodbye to guildies, friends and see the Vanguard world one last time.

Can we please get a time that the game is scheduled to be shut down on the 31st so we can plan ahead?

well unless i missed something its shutting down 31th of july, which is in 11 days. I read somewhere 23.59 although when i just looked its not on the vg forum posts. im assuming this is pdt.

Bah I meant 31st of July, not August, my bad, I was in a rush and now can't edit it, of course...

I have not been able to find a time Ali, I would've thought roughly around the same time they bring servers down for patch/maint but I would like an official answer from SOE if possible, my guildies and friends and myself don't want to miss it.

why is FREE REALMS already taken down ?

I may be in the minority here, but comments such as that only tends to add more disdain and frustration for me. I have been a restaurant manager, a dietary manager in a hospital and an operations manager for an international company. Before those positions, I climbed the ladder through various positions of customer service. Had I ever said something such as that I would have been severely reprimanded and I would have done the same to any of my employees. Apologizing and making off hand comments which leave the customer with the impression that nothing has been learned from the poor choice only further hurts the relationship between customer and company. Further, with the way that the customer base has effected by SOE decisions in the past, it would not in the least surprise me if no notification is given...as it is said, "the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior."

Sorry, I know this is a hard time for you folks. I'm sad to see Vanguard go, though my brief time on the project pales in comparison to the years many of you have invested. You kept the spirit of the game alive for a long time, and hope you continue to do so even when the server goes dark. Games come and go, but community endures.

Ashlanne, were you able to get a more definite answer to the server shutdown time?

So far we are planning around 6pm PDT which is 11am Australian EST (NSW/QLD/MLB).

That would bei 3am in Europe... very early...
