As you might have seen by the park page I had up, Phoenix was decimated again by summer storms - the worst I have seen since I moved here in 1990. I did not lose power, nor did I lose internet, but for some reason my old ESX host running the web server rebooted and hung - thus the site was down til I could get home from work and fix it.
When I walked into my house, I was met by a dreadful surprise. It rained so hard today, twice, my back yard could not handle the volume of water, so it came into the house destroying my wood flooring and a few furnishings. The bedrooms are trashed. Carpet is soaked (and stinky). Most of the water in this photo is soaked into the flooring:

Who would ever think of flood damage in the desert? Not this guy.
I think it's time I relocate these sites to GoDaddy hosting and be done with this hardware. In fact, I think I'm done with Arizona entirely... but that's another story for another time.
