Health Pots

Is there any way we could make potions that, like, cast a heal spell or something when you take them? Or if there are craftable pots, can we put em in the general store? It would help when facing down 4 dot mobs... or running for your life.

As opposed to a completely new game system, I would advocate putting better consumable foods on general goods merchants and perhaps applying tweaks to their effectiveness. My Halfling character Hollyrood completed all of the lowbie quests in Rindol Field and garnered the following food stuffs. Note that the final four are all currently Soulbound as being quest rewards. Format: Name, item #, "Effect."

Amico's Spiced Potatoes, #1008510, "Treat," same as Fresh Berries, newbie food. Perhaps improve, for a price?

Hard Boiled Eggs, #1283953, "Minor Health Enhancement" (hit points)

Besti's Elixir of Constitution, #1008515, "Minor Constitution Enhancement"

Fresh Apple Cider, #1283969, "Minor Intelligence Enhancement"

Tursh Steak, #1283956, "Minor Vitality Enhancement"

Haffhand living on/about Bordinar's Cleft also garnered some quest ales as rewards and there must be many more out there that could be loaded on to select merchants after stripping the Soulbound flag. Questions as to how many could be triggered sequentially would have to be worked out but hopefully not impart too much additional complication to game play.
