Game won't launch

Worked fine on Windows 7. Won't launch on Windows 10. My logs look fine. It won't launch directly with the vgclient.exe either. I tried running as admin(launcher and vgclient.exe), setting win7 compatibility, nothing works. I have task manager up and vgclient.exe shows up for a bit, then says, "suspended", then goes away. Not sure what else to try.

Sounds like either antivirus or maybe windows defender is blocking it.

Check the Event Viewer to see if anything shows?

Could also try deleting the Vanguard/bin/Caches folder. Could be something in there VG doesn't like after the update.

Also if needed, try redownloading a fresh copy of the client and our launcher.

Windows defender is turned off and so is my anti-virus. It works fine on my win7 machine with defender and anti-virus enabled as well.

I tried deleting the files in the caches folder, still not working. Tried re-downloading, not working.

Even viewer shows this:

Faulting application name: VGClient.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x52f2b1c2

I'm not sure what's going on at this point.

Fixed it! I had to set the affinity to only 1 core on my 1950x Threadripper. I have this program called "Process Lasso" and you can permanently set affinity for certain programs so you don't have to do it every single time you launch something.

Good to know first time I've heard of someone having to set it to 1 core did you try more then 1 just to see what would happen?
