Brynn, we voted to close the code some time ago to help progress the project. Others here have explained why. Obviously, if you were helping develop you would have access to the code, so I guess I don't really understand your complaint.

What pisses me off though is this - "...really drives home the toxic attitude you have about this project and its community"

Really?

I'm going to defend Zippy even though he doesn't need or want it. You're clearly clueless on what he's done for this community. Maybe re-reading his post about all the systems and time he's freely put into this project will make you reconsider. Not a single person here will agree with you. Zippy's "toxic attitude about our community" is laughable.

Uhm, entitlement anyone?

I can surely tell you I have spent at least a few hundred hours doing data collects (and running groups to do them) for the dungeons that no one else cared to collect. Why you might ask? Because I thought at its core, this game (like Everquest) is really about the dungeon content, getting a group, getting the dungeon quests and exploring the tough indoor world. I want others to experience this content.

Really if you want to help with any project that is large (and this is a large project) you don't just go out and forge your own path without talking to the principle developers / project managers (PD / PM from here on out). PD / PM already have a road map of what things that need to be developed first or low hanging useful fruit that can be knocked out. If you are not working with the team and the road map they have, then what use are you to the overall vision of re-creating live SOE Vanguard Saga of Heroes?
