Linux -- can no longer debug

UPDATED:

This started a while ago, but I didn't have time to look into it until now.

The Linux environment (mine, Ubuntu 14.04 x64) no longer functions for WorldServer. Something has changed with the Console Input in linux (the ability to type VGO commands at the console window) that has rendered the server inoperable - even in DEBUG mode using 'gdb'. After being on the server for a while, the console locks up and soon after my character is disconnected and the world is unresponsive until I CTRL-Z the process and killall -9 gdb and the world process.

For now, Linux Servers will not have a Console Command Input until someone who knows how to fix this can get to it.

Hi,
I didn't saw your PM on the forum interface (0 messages), but i will take a look for that this week.

I keep you informed about why you don't have anymore the console on Ubuntu (just FYI, my Debian 8 don't have this issue ^^)

Hi,

Just tried on the same release as yours, i just update all packages of the distrib with an "aptitude update / aptitude dist-upgrade", upgraded my local repo with the latest rev1216, compiled the login server (missing on Makefile the LSConfigs.cpp FYI), compiled the world server... launching the server... and tried to type "help", the console respond correctly...
i used as usually, CTRL+C to kill the world server...
