In Memoriam: The Guilds of Telon

Pain - was a fun guild to be in. Had the highest ratio of cool people to douchebags of any guild I have been in. Although you would never know it unless you were in our Vent...members like Dakim perfected the art of chat channel trolling.

The main guilds I was in TGWNN (The Guild With No Name) Leader was Athiss, AoM (Avatars of Might) leader Kayne, TASC Leaders Keilana and Soulsteale, Veracity (Hardcore) Leader Demethir and Elly, then lastly Final Resolve Leader Valencia. All great guilds and I miss each and every one of them.

My name on live was Speadie. A bard. We probably raided a few times together. I was in Final Resolve for a bit with Valencia towards the end, as well as Veracity with Elly and Dem, I was also in Pain for awhile before they disbanded and left the game. I helped start a guild called Warborn with a couple of friends Kayleah and Bayo and Quentin before most of those guilds though.

Had to go through a lot of guilds with the amount of people who eventually ended up leaving the game. I miss a lot of them though. Was fortunate enough to run into an old friend from the Pain guild on this very server. Was nice to catch up with him and see he's still around.

I was in Pain for a while guild leader was Chran. I was also in Veracity with Elly and Dem. I was in Final Resolve with Valencia at the end. Good times in all of them.

My main was a ranger named Danali. I Played in CORE under Starman(sp?) Looking forward to testing some stuff out again!

My first guild was called Haven, led by Thanon Rockguard, but it broke up about 6 months into the game because we hit a content wall. After a 2 month break, I came back and joined The Black Company, led by Verrik and Vexes Immanitas. I did all my APW raiding with them but they eventually burned out too. I eventually made my way to Unleashed, where I stayed all the way up to the sunset announcement, when I joined Exile because they were probably the last active raid guild that played up until the last night.

This game had a lot of great players, great people, and great guilds.

We had a great 14 or so months in alpha/beta, then rushing through at launch (as I recall we were neck and neck with Halcyon Affinity for #1 on server; we were the first to do the CW armor sets and a few other things), we eventually hit a point where we arrived in the swamps and beyond...level 45ish as I recall, been so long....found zones that were empty of mobs, broken quests, things not implemented yet, unitemized content.

I remember spending a couple of months spinning our wheels waiting to see if anything was going to come out, before we decided to just move on. Most of us ended up back in EverQuest 2 raiding for several more years before moving on to LOTRO and other games.

That was the end of a seven year run for me as a guild/raid leader, between EQ2 > Vanguard > EQ2 again. Great times, but I don't miss the hours
