Can anyone direct me to a place where I can download Vanguard? I've tried searching for a download but couldn't find anything.
Help would be greatly appreciated since i'd really like to play the emulator and support this project.

I think I would be correct in saying that unless you already have it - then providing a download link for the client (if there in fact was one)
would be a violation of copyright - we don't own the code or have permission (at this stage) to distribute it.

I'm sure others will confirm this.

That is true. We are still in talks with SOE as if we can distribute the client (unchanged) from last I heard.

Barring that, there are possibilities of distribution but those of course (for legal reasons) would need to be kept very far away from the emulator project.

I actually bought the game, but it was the original box. From what I gather from a quick perusal on this site, that will not do. The game is no longer on my system in it's patched state and in fact I did not play it into 2013. Silly ass changes made me sick to my stomach.

So... I poked around on the web and found a couple of places to download it, but these sites do not look safe.

What's a fellow to do? Can it be purchased somewhere?

I actually emailed Smed and a few others asking if we could distribute the "as is" client for free and I have not received any replies.
