I loved the weakness/exploit system. Every class could put up a few weakness, and exploit some others. Certain classes benefit others better, but in general, it allowed everyone to get more dps as long as people were using their key abilities often. So, even a healer could help the groups dps just by putting up weaknesses.
Crit chains were also really fun to use.

Aye, positioning plays into that which was great too, Love the whole Flank bonus for some attacks etc. Vanguard had a really indepth combat system when you consider the whole picture. Also loved how some mobs got bonuses for certain attacks used against them. Made you really consider what skills you were using (Im looking at you sorcerers!)

Yeah speaking of mobs making use of stuff used against them, those cats in and around nusibe that would just destroy my disciple if I used the physical debuff on them. Thought it was a bug at first cause they usually weren't all that hard but omg if you debuffed them with physical skills they would turn into a killing machine.
