Re: Items Research
Oh you think the text is in the client? Okay, I am adding what I can see to the list above.
Re: Items Research
Crafting did have levels/grades of each item depending on how well you finished them, grade A, B, C, D and also quality types, low quality etc. and they would've all been counted as a unique item, so it looks like that list is missing a ton, since the crafting alone should be bigger than that number :/
There was a quote from Silius (Salim Grant) a while ago that said a rough number for just crafting items but I cannot recall or find it.
Reward - is most likely claim rewards for length of subscription
Server - is most likely server first to level 55 which awarded a personalised bag to the first player on each server, at the time there was Xeth, Seradon and Halgar.
Salim mentioned in an early Pantheon chat that crafting alone could create over 450,000 items but less than 200,000 were created on a regular basis.

Re: Items Research
I believe the reason you see daggers in the list is Vanguard had parrying daggers, thus I would guess that they were treated as shields for their defensive characteristics.

I am hopeful that he's bloating the number by saying every item that can have 1 different thing done to it; like the runes and focuses and dusts or whatever that stuff was. To my point earlier about "combining" stuff to make a new item -- the 2+ things you combine are 1 item ea, and the thing that pops out as a finished product is an item in and of itself. These are the things I am confident we are missing.
For this research project, those are the items I'm looking for; What glaringly obvious sets of items are missing, because once we know 2000 items from "augmented daggers" are missing, we can bulk create the base items. Etc.

Re: Items Research
I dont see a mount type stuff there either, like saddlebags, horseshoes and whatever that was that was supposed to give you mount stability (saddle?)
Re: Items Research
Horseshoes and saddlebags are under Misc item_type 8

Re: Items Research
Oh, perfect Xinux. Thanks for doing that. This makes some of the stuff I'm seeing make more sense.

I believe you are correct because this makes sense in the context of the game: there were a lot of crafting combinations that were never made especially at the high-end. I haven't been following this project but I'll forward the list to to my friend Rollen who was one of the first level 50 crafters in Vanguard and see if he notes anything missing.
Edit: Just doing a search on "striking" shows that not all striking combinations are listed for crafting.
Quick Edit: A quick looks shows a lot of missing crafting? or white loot? items. For example: there should be way more pelts and skins - I think I counted around 20-30. And the number of recipes seems very low.
Final Note: With respect to some missing items. All sub level (I want to say 30 but maybe it was 40 or 50) red recipes and items were removed from the game. There were originally very rare recipes to make Red level items as early as the late teens. Same thing with the whole poison crafting thing for Rogues that never happened and IIRC the ability to create unique items http://www.wiki.silkyvenom.com/index.ph ... ique_items

Re: Items Research
This is still accessible via Wayback Machine Would be nice if there was a way to get all this data to compare to what you have. As it is wayback, it is very limited info (usually just item name, sometimes rarity).
http://web.archive.org/web/200706201213 ... ase/items/
Some earlier versions in the Wayback Machine have colors and list AC/Damage for items.
This version does have some detail on some items if you click on them (still tons of not found).
http://web.archive.org/web/200704231052 ... me/-level/
Edit:
Anyway further evidence of the 200,000x Crafting Items.
From archive.org
http://web.archive.org/web/200705010507 ... reasoning/
We have Inventor's Adorned Studded Workglovesof Reasoning (FWIW, an item that Wayback has stats for)
Not in the VGOEmu database.
There are however Enhanced Inventor's Ingenious Studded Workgloves of Reasoning.
