Re: Countdown timer off?
Yeah mine has been showing 00 00 00 00 for hours now, since I first posted, strange! lol
It's weird being in the future sometimes!

Re: Countdown timer off?
Heh yes, I have it set for local time to the web server. For some reason, I thought it translated to your local times - guess not.
This was just an estimate based off Kilsin's report.

it shouldn't need to translate, that is the problem. 9 hours for you should still be 9 hours for me.

Re: Countdown timer off?
Yeah but I am not in EST
Sorry guys, the timer was meant to be a fun little thing that I could not get timezone offsets to work (due to phpBB themes and just not enough time). I need a longer countdown time... not enough time to do anything anymore.
I added the PDT, though it kinda sucks the fun out of counting down for those not in the PDT

heh, 8 hours from now is 8 hours from now, regardless of the timezone. The counter should show the same for everyone since it is a "number of hours till" counter. (Or am I failing math again?)

No, you're right.
For some reason the timer is setting the sunset time to 6:00PM in whatever time zone you are in, not a flat 6:00PM PDT. The countdown should be static for everyone.
Also, now that you added PDT, it reads as 4 hours 45 minutes left til sunset (PDT).
