No thank you!
Goodbye, I hope SOE struggles violently while drowning in that crap

Kind of a good point. All we've seen so far from multi-platform games is crap ports to PC. And the fact that their primary focus has been making everything full of micro-transactions and ruining the games.

Re: RIP SoE
Agreed on the Nickel and Diming, I hate how it has wormed its way into every facet of gaming now....
As for SOE, guess it had to happen sooner or later. So many great IP's with no coherent approach to keeping them viable, can't say i'm surprised.
As long as we don't see some kind of C&D order by the new holding compa.....err I mean venture capat......umm, company in control of "Daybreak" I'll be happy. Better to have to place 1,000,000,000 NPC's by hand (By place I mean you guys and gals doing all the heavy lifting , which I thank you for) then to have nothing at all due to corporate jockeying.
I hope that makes sense, it makes sense in my head....did that make sense?
Lol

Re: RIP SoE
lol... the tragedy being that your response looks more interesting then my ramble John.
Should I have my own board on the forum? "Art of Madness" where I can ramble away nonsense interjected with the occasional lash out at SoE, err I mean Daybreak

Re: RIP SoE
Layoffs hit today. Rumor is 40 to 50% of SOE.
Re: RIP SoE
Yeah Smedley tweeted 45min ago.
John Smedley @j_smedley
shitty day.
And I applaud this move.
One of those affected by the cuts appears to be director of development on the EverQuest franchise David Georgeson.

He has been fucking up the franchise for too long, what is left of it anyway.
Maybe they will hire Brad McQuaid? hah.

Re: RIP SoE
So... they acquired the company and, in the best interests of the consumer, I'm sure, laid off 40+% of the staff after what was, I'm sure, an extensive review of current state...
All I'm really sure of is that I can't wait to try their first iPhone-to-PC port game... but not really.

Re: RIP SoE
I doubt that it will be 40%-50%. But who knows. Obviously they want to get EQN back on track for success and got rid of the bald guy with a pony tail.
