You guys know that we *probably* can make the rift menu pop out of a wood plank in your harvesting satchel, right? I don't know if the big stones are moveable at all, since I remember seeing them in the completely empty world (or they were altars). Just missing the clicky part.
Thing is, we can plan for both. A server that allows rifts, a server that relies on public transportation, a server that needs a magic user to port them somewhere, or a server that has questable/clickable items to take you anywhere you want to go. Just some thoughts.

Took some advice from you all. Kept most of the current rifts. Added/removed a few. Came up with these maps.
Added an orange rift for 50+ only.
Added a white rift for far off housing islands.

Yeah, I totally get that, and I do agree, TBH, the fact that we are here discussing adding and removing Rifts in a sunsetted game is really amazing.
and Im enjoying the banter. I do wholeheartedly agree that we need a healthy population first, and the fact that we can and will be able to create alt-ruleset servers mitigates a lot of my grumbling We don't need to be running off the few of us there are, and certainly not any of the newcomers and curious.

Great job Cyrcle, I really like these added rifts for housing/crafting and distant chunks, the one thing I would put back is the Sundering Wastlands rift, for the simple fact, it is a central chunk for a popular raid encounter (Teraxes) and has the Wandering Fungal Abom for APW entry quest plus other low level 1-15 quest lines around the area which were always popular.

Great job Cyrcle, I really like these added rifts for housing/crafting and distant chunks, the one thing I would put back is the Sundering Wastlands rift, for the simple fact, it is a central chunk for a popular raid encounter (Teraxes) and has the Wandering Fungal Abom for APW entry quest plus other low level 1-15 quest lines around the area which were always popular.
Apart from that one small rift, I really like what you have done

I can't wait for a hardcore server mate, I am trying to decide what character I would want to restart, maybe my Bear Shaman or Psi, not sure but as I said, you will definitely see me there on at least one of my characters

I can't wait for a hardcore server mate, I am trying to decide what character I would want to restart, maybe my Bear Shaman or Psi, not sure but as I said, you will definitely see me there on at least one of my characters
