Alternate Advancement

Would be great to see Vanguard add in AAs for us to play with after we hit level cap. Before we raise level cap to 55 or above we could really utilize AAs. AAs could really help us fine tune our characters in a big way. The devs already gave us a platform to be fine tuned we just have to take that plunge now. With the way classes are set up there is plenty of ways AAs could really take things to that next level.

Almost each and every class was given the means to play multiple roles. An example would be the pally. The pally had 3 stances which altered the tank from heavy tanking, to going more damage, and then to going some healing. With AAs and also the proper gear we could see a pally maybe healing groups or becoming an actual threat to the dps meter.

Now before anyone calls blasphemy and says that VGs classes should not be able to perform all roles, let me clarify. I don't want nor do I believe a pally should be able to heal as well as ANY healing class or doing as much damage as a rogue. Now, AAs shouldn't allow the pally to be able to heal in raid situations (or maybe they could if some believe so but I'd prefer them not to) but I don't see nothing wrong with a pally being able to heal in most grouping situations ONCE they put in the time to get the considerate amount of AAs and possibly gear. And with switching the pally to its healing stance and then adding in some nice AAs, plus maybe some healing gear, and all of the sudden your pally can heal somewhat effectively and now you don't have to wait a long time for a healer to log in...if you are having troubles finding a healer.

Monks could have AAs that allowed them to tank better. So on and so forth.

AAs could also do a multitude of other things for all of the classes which I'm sure I don't have to explain. These are just a few examples of how classes, stances, AAs, and gear could really alter the way some classes play.

Xinux had done some preliminary work on the "Alternate Advancement" UI components we found in the client. It appears the client does receive the data, so when the time comes we could see about getting data to and from the client for this unique VGOEmulator feature

But, like SOE developers, I cannot promise it'll happen - just a pretty cool idea... and, the UI is already there.

Did SoE already have an UI created?? I remember them kicking around the idea.

Either way that is definitely awesome news.
