Windows 10

Hello,

Recently installed Windows 10 on one of my computers and fully updated it. I then reinstalled the sunset client i've been using all along from the links here on the site. Then I grabbed LaunchPad 3.0, copied that into the VG directory, set it up, all went well. But when I type in my account info and hit login, an "unhandled exception" occurs having to do with .netFX. Windows 10 is up to date and has .netFX 4.5 installed. Does the launch pad only support older versions, or is there some kind of other work around I can do?

Should work fine i'm using windows 10 and have no issues. I'm running .net framework 4.5 and 4.6 on my machine.

Can you screenshot the error and then if you can go in to options->options and screenshot that for me.

Well, I went back onto that machine to do as you asked and for some reason can't replicate the error, it lets me log in now. Trust me when I tell you it was an endless error every time I tried. I reinstalled the launchpad literally 5 times, rebooted the machine, wasn't sure what else to do, still resulted in an unhandled exception and some stuff about .NET

Now I am happy that it is working but I cannot explain how it's working because it's just working now, and I cannot explain how it didn't work before. I hate dealing with moody machines.

If it starts doing it again I'll definitely send you some screenshots.

EDIT: I think I know what was going on. In the bottom left above "PLAY" there is a notification that says "Up Since: Oct 10, 2017 @ 00:29 AM" ... now I specifically remember having these troubles in the minutes between midnight and 12:30, in fact when I look at the last time stamp of launchpad having been created it is at 12:16 AM, could it perhaps be that the system was offline and the launcher just ungracefully kept crashing not knowing what to do rather than timeout or show me a popup about the systems simply being offline?

The server did crash around that time last night. So it might have been down. Usually if I get an error when trying to log in, the first thing I check is this page: http://vgoemulator.net/index.php?p=servers

I know it doesn't look pretty right now, but it will tell you if the server is down or not.
