Game performance
Hi all,
Is there anyway we could tweak game performance? I have a intel core i5 4670k 3.4 ghz and gtx 970 video card and i'm still getting a lot of micro stuttering in the game on highest settings? Anyone know of a way to mitigate this? fps seems to be locked in at around 50-55fps.

Re: Game performance
Hopefully that is something that can be looked into in the future. My guess is that this issue isn't high on the list of priorities at the moment.

Re: Game performance
lag and fps have so many factors not just your hardware.
- When does it happen?[/*3rzi64z0]
- Is it a certain area? (khal for example) [/*3rzi64z0]
- what speed is your ISP? (for example my lag comes from my isp)[/*3rzi64z0]
- Latest updates and drivers?[/*3rzi64z0][/list:u]
So basiclly hardware, connection (ips, game server), and so much more.
On a side note there is a lag meter in game, mouse-over it and it will tell you the in and out and roundtrip of packets, which could help to narrow the issue down.
Re: Game performance
Its happens throughout each zone. For example in khal I will get a stutter in frames about once every 8 seconds. I've tried using different resolutions and different graphics settings and the issue still remains. I'll try some different drivers and see if there is any difference.
As far as packet issues I'm not sure it would be anything on my end. I have 30/15 cable connection with no other devices connected to it.
I have the lastest Nvidia drivers and windows 7 ultimate sp1 with latest updates.
I'll install the game on my second computer which has i5 6k and and gtx 950 with 8 gigs of ram and see if there is any difference. From what I've been reading micro stuttering comes from cpu/hdd/ram issues.

Vanguard does not really hyperthread, so a multi-core processor is wasted on it.
Setting Windows virtual memory to 150% of physical RAM helps, along with turning down shadow quality. Using a lesser machine than yours, I don't notice a recurring hitch every eight seconds; if I rift to Khal, it will be laggy for a moment as the area loads, but once it's up, seems very smooth.

Same with me, no stutter.
