Bug ID : 1556 - I receive pegasus reins from R...
Bug Date : 2017/12/15 07:24:14
Assigned To : Developer
Priority : Low

Category : VGClient
Sub-Category : Gameplay: Mounts
Severity : Standard
Reproducible : Every time

Details:
I receive pegasus reins from Raikil Windflower on Isle of Dawn. I equip the reins to the mount tab. Instructions indicate to right click the reins to summon the pegasus. Everytime I do this the reins diappear, no pegasus is summoned and the chat window says "pegasus reins removed from your inventory. summoning a pegasus worked for me earlier this evening but no longer and I can't get up to the temple to complete the Ascension - 7472 quest. Thanks for all you do.

Originated From World: New Telon (1)

This gets reported from time to time, but we are never able to duplicate it. The rentals work by applying a buff to the player that lets them use the Pegasus Reigns to summon a mount. Once the buff runs out the reigns should be removed. If the reigns are somehow still in the player's inventory and they try to summon the mount, it gets removed. The message about the reigns being removed also shows when the buff runs out or is clicked off.

We're not sure if the player is clicking on the buff thinking it'll spawn the pegasus, or if there is actually something causing the issue.

I added a chat message to the player if the reigns are removed due to the buff not being found. If the buff is clicked directly, the error will not show.

I tested this one for quite a while, trying all kinds of different things (Dying, clicking off the buff, dying multiple times in a row, crashing, logging off, etc). The only way I could replicate what was happening in this report was to click off the buff. That did it 100% of the time, but I somehow don't believe that's what this player was doing.
