Giving my "hello"
I'm feeling really excited about this project after running around in Telon for a while. I forgot how beautiful and huge the world is. It's the first time I've seen the game on Ultra max settings, and it was glorious.
I played Vanguard at it's release and for about six months afterwards. My memory of the game is extremely positive because of the solid group I found during my time. There have been a number of times since I left that I just had to hunt down the soundtrack and watch some youtube videos. But I never came back. Life stuff. I was finally ready to get back into the game about two months before the sunset. I ran around and experienced the world, but ultimately felt there was little point in sticking around.
That's when I started to look for a Vanguard private server. There was so few words of it floating around, but I found that the same person who was working on EQ2emu (which I'm also looking forward to) was going to devote his time to bring back Vanguard. I've been checking up on the project ever since and I'm really excited to be a part of it.
I'd like to give a big thanks for all the effort put into it. Although I have no useful skills, I would be happy to devote my time in any way I could. There has to be a dull, repetitive task that's easy to do, yet extremely time consuming. For those tasks, I'm your guy. I've always been curious to learn some coding, too, so maybe this could be a good way to learn. Easy cheesy stuff, though. Please.
In the meantime, I'll be waiting patiently for updates to see the world come back to life. Super excited to find another tightly knit group to adventure with. It was some of my best memories in any gaming, ever, ever.

Welcome mate!
Just logging in and running around helps us, if you manage to break something or crash the game, even better!
