Re: Crafting Suggestions
As long as that dearth of anything to do in the 30s is fixed I'm happy. The Banishers line was great, and even getting to that point was fine while off of the Island. It was 30-43ish that was awkward as heck. Work Orders for days.

Re: Furious makes me furious
Not sure if it was said but... I believe there were also some 48/49 mobs that had FURIOUS as well. I recall some Ifritti trash in Rahz that did this too. Stuff that had nothing to do with the 51+ content 'package'. But then, VG's devs had a habit of applying changes to wide swaths... The shadowhound...
Re: Rez Sick
Back to the whole concept of 'res sickness' I'm of mixed opinion on it. The way it was in VG seemed heavy handed and inconsistent, which is bad design. I admit to liking the concept of it, for much the same reason John's been saying. You just got brought back from the dead. That said, VG implemented...

Re: Raid Loot Bug
I haven't thoroughly read the responses but see a bit of a thought... With regards to the token system it's a mixed bag. I do like the idea of it to reduce getting screwed by the RNG Gods, but I don't like tokens as the only way to get the gear either (FFXIV does this and it feels... Weak). What I d...

Re: Raid Loot Bug
EQ2 handled this very problem by making a lot of high end loot "Heirloom." For those of you who hadn't played, it basically meant that it was account bound. Even after you equipped a piece of Heirloom gear on one character, you could still put it in your shared bank and then use it on anot...

[quote="Kilsin"] I was not deceitful at all, I was clear in my message that the multi platform side of things is a cancer on our industry and I wish it to fail, they were always a PC gaming company and I wish them well in that area of their business. No one was working on multi platform ga...

Re: RIP SoE
[quote="Kilsin"] Back on topic: I feel uneasy about these layoffs at DayBreak, some of these people were very talented and huge in the communities eyes for EQ, EQ 2, VG and EQL, EQN...hopefully they will snap up positions quickly in other companies to continue to do what they love. Whether...

Re: EFF Comments on DMCA Exemption for Abandoned Games
I honestly sounds to me like aiming to make it okay to reverse engineer and develop emulators. As it is emulators themselves tend to get a pass, it's the adjustment of the client and the interception of the communications and the work-therein that would be DMCA'able. But being a Canadian I admit to ...

Re: Content from 10-40ish
One of my favourite things about VG was the fact that there were so many paths you could take. There was so much content so it made leveling alts a lot more fun than most other games because you're not doing the exact same content over and over. I do like the idea of having large group encounters th...
