Crashing to white screen and eventual lock-up.

Just recently trying to come back to Vanguard and am hopefully I can resolve my current issues. Now, the last time I played was probably about a year ago. The only issue I had at the time was some slow frame rates and lag which I could atleast play through. The problem now seems much worse. While I can log in with a character in the wilderness to cut trees just fine without incident, I am now completely unable to log in one specific character who is sitting right outside Khal., At the character select screen I choose said character and it proceeds to load, however it is at this point that it goes to white screen and freezes up on me. I have given it a reasonable amount of time to fully load and correct itself, but unfortunately it never does.

I recently downloaded DirectX9.0c and new drivers from Nvidia to try and solve the issue to no avail. I'm sure I am missing some information which may prove useful to you all, but I will keep watching the boards and respond to any questions you may have, to the best of my ability.

I did try to post a my DXDIAG, but I was surpassing the character count for a post.

A few things you can try, one step at a time:

    1. Validate your game assets as shown below.

    2. Disable NVIDIA SLI if it is on, and reset the game's profile via the NVIDIA Control Panel to default.

    3. Go to Vanguard's Settings menu, and in the Performance tab, disable Hardware Occlusion.

    4. Cut your ..\Vanguard\bin folder and paste it on your Desktop.

    5. Uninstall the game, restart your PC, and reinstall it from here: http://launch.soe.com/installer/VGD_setup.exe.

    6. If all else fails, contact a Technical Support Representative and submit your DxDiag and MSInfo32 files.

Sorry for the late response. Just following up to make sure you no longer have crashing issues. As Sinisna suggested, please submit a ticket if you have any more problems.
