Flickering Tree's

Discussion in 'Performance Support' started by ARCHIVED-Pris, Aug 1, 2012.

  1. Is there anyway to stop this.
The majority of tree's I have on the horizon all seem to flicker for no reason, I've tried searching and I have a decent rig with a GTX 280 and a SSD.
I've turned off Hardware Occlusion and played with the majority of the settings but I can't seem to stop the tree's from flickering, it's like they dissapear and then re-appear every milli second.
    Welcome any help
  2. Off top of my head turn off ANSIO or AA, and if you have it forced in the Nvidia control panel, set it to appication settings or what ever it is in the green world. Those settings can cause it.
Another idea is delete the cache folder, backup a copy of your vgclient.ini and delete it. Repatch.
Make sure it is not some weird setting, this will set game back to default and work from there.
  3. ok thanks but if I turn off AA or Ansio this will mean my graphics look really bad?

Is there anyway to get AA or Ansio on without forcing it through the GPU?

Try hitting escape, then settings, then performance, then uncheck Hardware Occlusion. I was out questing and saw a bridge with a tree growing up through it and the bridge had a built in hole for the tree to grow through...but the tree was flicking so bad I could only see if if I moved my view at just the right angle and even then it was flickering. After I turned off Hardware Occlusion, the tree was solid again.

Hello Sunstroke. I'm sorry you're having a flickering tree problem. Are your video card drivers up to date?
