Necromancer: Fist of the Pyramids

I've been getting mixed information on this, so I was hoping to get this cleared up, or at least unfogged a little.

This Fist is obtained via Necropsy from Temple of Tehatamani chunk. All sources agree on this part.
When Necropsied, the ALL-CAPS named Orb guardian in the final rooms of Opudufi and Aromizo crypts will have a chance to drop the Fist. Likewise, all sources agree on this point.

What I run into conflicting information on is that some sources claim other mobs can yield a chance at the Fist of the Pyramids from Necropsy.
    These are:
    1. Non-caps named mobs in Opudufi and Aromizo can provide a chance at the Fist.
    2. ToT-flip event ALL-CAPS named mobs in Opudufi and Aromizo can provide a chance at the Fist.
    3. ToT-flip event non-caps named mobs in Opudufi and Aromizo can provide a chance at the Fist.
    4. Placeholders of all the above (where applicable) can provide the Fist at a vastly lower chance.
Could any more experienced necromancers please confirm or deny points 1 through 4?
It would be helpful if anyone who has the Fist of the Pyramids just chipped in to confirm exactly what mob they Necropsied it from.

For example, it would save a lot of effort knowing if fighting the lesser named mobs was a waste of time as they had no chance to drop the Fist when necropsied. Then a hypothetical FotP camper could focus their efforts on the CAPS boss (and his inevitable placeholder) alone, minimizing the necessary combat and clearing.

Thanks to anyone who provides more concrete information.

All I can say is I got mine from ALL-CAPS nameds inside Pyramids. Aormizo and opudufi cos I got 2.
Best is solo your way through Aromizo (I think that one is the easiest iirc) and park necro there, log every 20-30 mins (can't recall the respawn time) and kill again. You will have to clear a couple mobs, but it is kinda fast.
You can park there if u fly up there is a safe place, or go up through the ornate ladder behind all-caps named. Sorry if I don't express myself very clearly as english is not my mother language ;)

    Thanks for the input!

You can fly in the temple buildings? Wow, that is strange, but very useful to know. It must be to do with the same reason that you can't Summon in there -- the whole area must still count as part of the outside, and not a specific dungeon.

I had been using the Magi Hold clicky Jump Ring, to sit on one of the two pillars at the back of the room whenever I wanted to log out in a safe spot.

I was farming in Opudufi, I'll have to try Aromizo to see if it is easier.

Respawn is 30 minutes, a lot of placeholders though.
That's why I'd like to see if anyone managed to get the fist from the smaller named mobs. This means 4 chances in the last room of a temple, every 30 min (1x ALL-CAPS, 3x normal nameds) as opposed to just the caps named. The chance of getting a placeholder seems very high as well from my (limited) experiences so far.

Unless they have very recently changed it, yes, you can fly inside heh
All caps named is usually up, rarely I have seen the ph standing there..
Another thing you may find of interest is you can get the Orb of corruption spell from any named in there, not just the caps one. So you might want to kill the ones close to all-caps just to have a chance for it.
Some people claim any mob has a chance to drop it, got mine from the very first named as you enter in opudufi. Kinda rare drop, took me some time. Meat 2 I had to go to APW.

It was recently changed, you can no longer be on a mount inside the temples. As far as the fist, for sure any of the all caps can drop it (incuding the ones that spawn from a temple flip), and I do not believe that the mini named can drop it.

That's great to hear that the ToT flip all caps named can yield the graft.
I seem to get the Exxicator placeholder 4 out of 5 times, meaning I have 1 attempt at the fist every 2.5 hours on average.
An Opudufi/Aromizo flip group would see a much quicker rate of all caps nameds (and it's less tedious if I'm not the only one doing the killing).

Spells only drop from level 50+ mobs, and the mobs can spawn as level 49 or 50. Spells do drop from trash, but with a much lower drop rate than names. The same applies to RI and NN. If you are after a specific spell then it will seem to take longer because there's so many spells that can drop.

I don't know if there's similar level requirements for the necro graft, but it wouldn't surprise me if there was.

Forgot to post this on the day I managed to get the Fist of the Pyramids, but it was off the caps named in the Aromizo crypt, NETIFERTI.
Unfortunately this doesn't help to confirm any of the unknowns.
I was killing the lesser nameds too, just in case, but it happened to appear on the caps named guy first.
