Game crashes when launching

  1. As of today, when I click PLAY on the launchpad, I get the splashscreen, the entire screen goes black, the cursor changes to VG cursor, the black screen disappears, showing the launchpad, and about ten seconds later the launchpad closes. No error messages, just everything closes. I have deleted the /bin/caches folder, did the asset verification and nothing makes any difference.
    Yesterday, and the day before, and the day before everything worked. I have installed nothing from yesterday to today. Is anybody else having this problem and how do I fix it?

    Hello Jaedayr! Please make sure you have the most updated launchpad by downloading it here: Vanguard Launchpad.
    Also, check to make sure your set to "live" and not "test". If you continue to have problems, then I'd recommend submitting a support ticket so we can further assist you~!
  3. I am currently experiencing the same issue. Neither of those solutions is solving the problem.
  4. I'm having the exact same problem.......
  5. Ok tried half a dozen times same thing if anyone has any suggestions please let me know. I have lmited window of play time these days and really want to run around Telon!! Thanks
  6. I too am just now having this problem started last night, the only thing thats changed since then and now is that I bought a 3 month sub for the reduced price. I haven't messed with any of my settings or anything. I did crash last time I was playing due to my internet crapping out on me.
  7. I've been having the same problem for the majority of the last week from my machine at work. I've gone as far as practically re-installing the entire game..
  8. I was able to log on ordinarily, but after deleting a mod I was running I ran into this issue. I tried checking files, and then uninstalling and reinstalling the entire game, but still have the same problem. In addition, once the client boots me out I need to restart my computer to use the internet- net access gets cut off.
    Edit- it turns out that to use a mod, you edit the VGClient.ini file to point to the shell you're using- and right now, pointing it to anything besides Default is causing the same issue for me. So that's something (in that I can use the game without mods).
  9. We will need you guys to submit a support ticket so we can figure out what's causing these crashes. Please be sure to include your Dxdiag and Msinfo to expedite the process.
  10. Fixed it by navigating to the "bin" directory inside of the main "Vanguard" folder and deleting the "Caches" folder. :)

    i.e. vanguard\bin -> delete "Caches"

    Sweet! Thanks for the update!
  12. I have tried deleting the Cache folder a couple of times..to no avail.
    I do see an error message in my log file though.

    Anyway, it looks as though I cannot start replaying the game.
  13. I'm about as computer tech talk saavy as a newborn. Right under me is the old man sitting on his porch. I was having the same problem. What do I mean was...I still am, but it's not as bad as you. The first couple times I try to log in, it loads to char select and that's as far as I can get before it crashes to desktop. I just try it again until it works. I'm talkin almost everytime I log in. I'm apparently more tenacious than I like to admit...lol.
