I went back to EQ when they consolidated VG to a single server and pulled all the Devs. Been there since. When SOE announced all access I was excited about returning to Telon. But they followed up the all access announcement with the sun setting of VG.

EQ in my opinion is the closest you'll get to the VG experience (since VG was closest you could get to original EQ experience). It still has a thriving community and plenty to do. Of course all that will likely change with the release of EQNext. From what I've seen of EQNext so far, I'm not all that interested in it.

Sad to see VG go away.

EQ Next I imagine. I know they've taken quite a few things they liked about Vanguard and rolled them into that game.

I'm hopeful that one of three options will provide a good gaming experience in the future.

    1. EQ Next (not setting my expectations too high on this one, but I could be wrong)
    2. Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen (I have high hopes for this one as it is Brad McQuaid's baby, although it looks like it is having some trouble getting off the ground and still needs a corporate sponsor)
    3. There is an emulator project underway

As for right now, trying out ESO. Seems fun, and good graphics, but just doesn't seem as immersive to me as VG.

Tried eso. Like the game but the community seems weak.
Playing eq for now. Will look at eqn, but Im not at all confident in it.
