On Tuesday my cleric died. Unfortunately I didn't summon my corpse before I logged out and there was no corpse, no tombstone, and nothing in escrow when I logged back in 2 hours later. On Tuesday I submitted a support ticked at: 12/17/2013 01:48 PM This is already Thursday, and it's been over 48 hours but I still haven't received a response nor have any of my missing items due to death been returned. I am glad that I do have other characters to play but I would really appreciate this problem getting fixed.
Someone said in region the other day if you go and die again the new corpse will magically have all the stuff that should have gone to escrow. No idea if it works or not, but may be worth a try.
Ok I just went and let it die, sure enough now there was a ts and all my items are recovered. Thanks for letting me know!
Stuff like this really pisses me off. Why should paying or even FTP customers have to figure out a work around for yet another bug introduced by a "fix/patch"? Like many others have mentioned, it's more like pay to play beta and frankly it's not going to end anytime *soon*!
Unfortunately the "no tombstone" is still happening quite a bit. Guildmate didn't even die yesterday, yet when he logged in today he was missing items. There was no tombstone, nothing in escrow. He had to die to retrieve what he was missing and lost over 2 million experience and he hadn't even died! I'm surprised that more players are not venting over this continuing bug.
2 million experience sounds like a lot, but you need to get a little perspective. If you are high enough level to lose 2 million experience for a death, then either you're 55 and it doesn't matter at all or you're close to it and it will slow down your leveling by a couple of minutes. Big deal. The xp loss from a death is pretty quick to recover regardless of level. There's also xp debt removers. Alternatively, since it's a game bug you can petition and get the xp back. But I'd wager that unless you don't play the toon, you'd be 55 before the petition is answered. I agree that this is a bit irritating, but it's not game breaking like the constant chunk crashes and stability issues. That's why there's not much venting about it going on. Once the crashes are fixed then people will start to vent about this, the mail indicator, brotherhoods, caravans and the plethora of other annoying things that were broken in December's patch of doom and haven't been fixed yet.
