I played starting on release, and played for maybe a year or more before moving on. I was heavily raiding in EQ1 at the time - couldn't afford the time. Anyway, I had been looking forward to the F2P release to re-try the game now that I have more time to spend. Tonight I downloaded the game and fired it up ... to find no characters! I saw something about some wipes of characters below level 10 - but I am sure I had at least one character over level 10, as I tend to play only one. Is there anything that can be done?
I am having the same issue, only one of my characters out of 4 were there. I logged into my account on the website before the servers went down for the update and they were all listed. Chyrie was there Mariota, Aikaterina and Kalania were all missing.
Just so the two of you know. vanguard has gone through several server merges and each time low level toons that haven't been used didn't make the cut. Also, the old website broke, stopped updating, a long long time ago... almost two years I think.

I have the same issue I use to have a level 50 rogue on Seradon (named Titia) and it's currently missing on my account. Would an IG petiton work to have it restored ?

I posted a petition as well. I wish I could recall the specifics (like name lol). I could have (but didn't) post what I "probably" would have named my char ... but after all the games I've played I may have specifically not named her what I nromally might have, just for a change. But what I do know is that I played several months, perhaps close to a year and considering that in under 5 hours this new character is level 7 ... there is NO WAY that my former character was below level 10. None. At all. I have to add that if I could single out one thing above all else that I love(d) about the game - it's the Diplomacy. I was always completely hooked by that. The only reason I left was that I was raiding full time in EQ1 and then I also had to cull some expenses. Vanguard sadly was one that I had to drop. But I had been looking to pick it back up again even before I heard about F2P, but I wasn't sure if downloading the trial would get me my account back (keys, or something) and considering I had the CE and a bunch of goodies, I didn't want to risk it. And I couldn't use the original disks because I highly doubted the original installer would like Win7 ... and then MULTI-years of patches /shudder. So here it is F2P time = installer up to date + patches up to date + bonus no-cost ... and everything is gone >< So really hoping you guys/girls can help!
I had two level 50 chars on Halgar, now my char-list is empty. With my f2p status I can't make tickets. What should I do? Just saw it say I had joined today, but that's not true. I used my old login and as first it wanted me to input a new forum handle. Strange.

I'm in the same situation. I only have 1 character when I know I had at least 3 others. I don't even think the character I'm left with was my highest level but I honestly cannot remember since I stopped playing about 3 months after the game went live. Sadly I remember a couple names but I don't remember the races or levels. /shrug not really sure I care but I thought it'd be interesting to pop back on the game after all these years. Hahaha.. what do you know.. a little peek at my profile revealed my characters.. It's a little disappointing that there is no way to recover old / deleted characters. Deleted my 50 necro after a really upset couple of weeks raiding APW on a PVP server, lost a lot of great stuff from VG beginnings and official GM notice is that it's purged
