    It was totally awesome.

It was a good interview, I like Brad's honesty at the moment, I think he sincerely has learned from his past and I really hope we can get this new game backed and funded for as much as possible and then continue to back and fund it after Kickstarter.

Brad and Richard team up? My god two the MMO gods working together. Both games share unity, that means they can share resources and collaborate, thus reducing dev costs to both games.

And shared pledgers? I amalready considering pledging to Shroud to do nothing else than show my support for this brilliant idea.

I had already pledged to SotA before I had heard about Pantheon, this is pretty good news though, I hope it works out well for both parties :)

Well about 5mins after posting I pledged $55 to shroud of the Avatar. It snot really a game I am looking for, but I figure I will give it a try and shucks, such a great idea I just had to support it.

I really don't think Sony will bother with this as EQN is a different kind of game to Pantheon.

EQN is for kiddies, who like cartoons and minecraft.

Brad is making a niche game for a smaller audience who like a challenge and less hand holding.

These are the games I am watching and both have a chance to be really enjoyable.

There just isn't a market for the games us old time EQ players like. (maybe I am wrong, and I hope I am wrong) [/quote]

    I kindly disagree.

Shroud of the Avatar raised almost 2 million on kickstarter and on their web site they are up to over 3 million so far.

One of the original creators of Dark Age of Camelot, (Mark Jacobs), raised over 2 million on kickstarter for Camelot Unchained.

The market is there, yes it is a small niche market but if you do it right you can from a business aspect make a profit.

Thank you for the kindly part .. LOL ... I hope you are right Gylenn.

Actually Landmark is for people who like minecraft. EQN is still largely unknown. IF they deliver on the promises they have made it could be very interesting and fun. Not hardcore or oldschool but different. I for one am tired of the WoW generation of MMO gaming. If EQN can truly put focus back on exploration and adventure i'm all for it. As for the graphics, they may not be realistic but they still look good, maybe it's just me but i like colorful games.

Well. Unfortunately it doesn't look like they are going to hit the 800k mark. 420k and 3 days to go. I've never followed a kick starter before, what happens if they don't reach 800k? Is it just over? Can they just extend the kickstarter? Will they keep developing and just try again later?

They are going to switch to funding directly from their website https://www.pantheonrotf.com and then, learning from their initial mistakes, most likely relaunch another KS down the track when they have got a larger audience and more to show off to entice people.

Ah ok. Good. I'm pretty sure this game will get made, its just a shame they couldn't pull the funding initially.
  19. Kilsin Well-Known Member

Yes, I have no doubt it will get made, it just depends on where the funding comes from, either the players step up this time and help to create a game that we want, or an investor or two step in and most likely make changes to make it more profitable, limiting player input considerably.

The choice and fate of this game is everyones, pretty much.

The KS wasn't done well at all but the guy's had never done one before, so I would probably be lost and mess things up too if I was to run a full KS project to fund something without ever doing it before, but they have learned from their mistakes and I am sure will run another KS down the track when they have more support and more to show the potential backers.

I think the kickstarter was just fine. Go back and take a look at some of the successful kickstarters. Many of them have FAR LESS to go on than Pantheon did. I see this blame game nonsense going on all the time in the comments section of the KS. Now that everyone knows it's not going to succeed they keep saying Brad and Visionary Realms dropped the ball. That's bull!

Non stop updates, AMA's, Q&A's and interviews! We heard a lot about the classes, races and game world. We seen concept art and actual gameplay EVEN IF it's just placeholder, AND screen shots. This was not Visionary realms failing. It's a niche genre plain and simple. Also the comments section in that KS was the most toxic and sickening comment section i've ever had the displeasure of being a part of.

I've seen arguing, trolling and people slamming Brads personal life for weeks. I am going to be sure i mention all of it in my next Pantheon video because it made me nautious!
