It's smarter to fix and focus on the class abilities rather than hope they fix racial abilities or change how game mechanics work.
Never had any problems with agro vs single or multiple mobs with any good warrior. Just wish they would make the warriors again dps monsters, but as my main isn't a warrior, I'll leave it up to the warrior community to find the best way to deal with your class. Just focus on things that can be fixed and actually help your class and don't ask for things that they won't ever do, because it might backfire and the devs give you things you don't like or won't help you.

I do not play a warrior as my main, but I like this and have often wondered why warriors don't campaign for more variety like this. It frustrated me when they made the first round of tank changes establishing warriors as dual wield tanks, dread knights as 2h tanks and pallies as s/b tanks. To me (I have alts of each class), it would be nice to be able to swap setups depending on the situation.
Warriors might even be able to pull more DPS out of the devs if it was situational and/or tied to lower defensive capability, or they might be able to pull more aggro management/survivability if it were situational and/or tied to lower offensive capaibiliies. If you could keep the setup that you have AND have the option of switching to either of those via a stance and/or wield change, wouldn't that be better?
    Just my 2cp

I don't campaign for it because the warrior class has far greater issues than lack of variety.
We lack critical endurance and energy regen.
    We lack burst hate capability.
    We lack survivability.
Getting these issues addressed is far more important to me than being able to use a two-hander.

I am sorry if my intent was unclear. The point is that you might be able to get some of those issues addressed via diversificaiton of the class. I am just searching for alternative ways to balance things, such that it is palatable to the developers. Wield preferences is one, additional stances is another. If the developers agree that warriors are as disadvantaged as the player base feels they are, then the current approach may work too.

  5. I'm not sure this is even legal but I'm going to try anyway. I think I can speak for every warrior on the PvP server; Please give us our bow range back....please. We are extremely incapable in PvP without it. Can we get this 1 little thing added to the class issues list for us?
  6. I'd look at:
    - increasing block on Warder's Bulwark to match the higher DK block
    - make Grim Determination return 1k-2k per hit for health PLUS the same quantum of energy regen in either stance. In effect, this is the lifetap/healing equivalent for warriors (OR add to the block ability a 1k health return, that means we get an intermittent healing capability but clearly subpar to any ability you can activate)
    - add a 50-100% HATE gain to one of our reuse abilities. That gives us the burst hate but not an increase in DPS. Having said that though, DKs and warriors do the similar damage so it may be warranted that warrior DPS should be increased. You could instead change CHARGE to be a HATE gain ability on a 5-10 min timer, since Charge is useless
    - add 5% damage to Lock and Load. Warriors have very little group functionality (c.f. paladins with heals, buffs and rez) so you can make this better
    - increase the rune on Raise Defences to 20% for 20 seconds, with the bias being to duration. This doesn't do huge things for the warrior individually given Mountaineous Barrier but is helpful to the group
    - would add energy and endurance regen to Defensive stance or to Warder's Bulwark, to take the pressure off these two stats since the level cap raise (i.e. Power Attack is much more expensive now)

I'm kinda new to the class, but I'd like to see all weapon styles viable for the warrior - that's one advantage as well. Perhaps with trade offs on Hate Gen vs. DPS vs. Defense depending on what weapon style you are using. (Where as you can say Pally get some abilities that need Sword/Board and DK some that need 2 Hander - the Warriors should work fine with all setups.)
I've tried all three defensive tanks, and I'm going to stick with the Warrior, all mechanics aside... *holds breath*
  8. If it is decided that Warrior's gain a damage boost (which I personally would certainly like as I do miss the whole DPS tank thing they used to have going on) I wonder if it would be worth accomplaishing that via some kind of double strike ability. As in kind of a much shorter duration and much longer reuse version of Quickblade/Fists of Clerity etc. instead of a copy, paste of Dread Knight's +100% damage skill.
Being dual weapon specialists it would make sense for Warriors at least flavourwise. Anyway that's just a random thought I had on the damage thing.
  9. Was interested in reading through this, to see how things have changed.
  10. Nearly three years, same exact issues. And so many talented warriors who have given up and left the game. :(
  11. I think Athryn hit the nail on the head 3 years ago (before the Warrior became my main). Every issue still exists, and those suggestions are not outlandish. It is precise and to the point what our problems are (end game), and offers solutions that shouldn't be overpowering, but puts us back on a level playing field.
