Tribute to Keith Parkinson

The sunset of Vanguard makes me sad for many different reasons. But the biggest of them all is that is was the very last thing that the late and great fantasy artist Keith Parkinson worked on.

This is an appeal to you Mr. Smedley and the rest of SOE to put together some kind of permanent tribute to Keith on your webpage somewhere. Have a place where all of his box art that created for you over the years is proudly displayed. Also put on the page pictures of his concept art and then what it actually looked like in game for Vanguard.

The game may fade away which I understand. But please do not let his contributions to the game world and SOE just fade away.

Dear Valerus, you are probably the only one, who sees VG ending from different perspective. I am proud of being part of such a community, which includes so open hearts....

I have stated before in different places that although there are many parts that make up the whole of our gaming experience, combat, crafting, lore, quests, UI, grouping, & community, just to name some, one of the most important that can not be denied is the grace, style and creativity the art of Keith Parkinson brought to our world. I purchased 3 posters from SOE shortly after the Kunark release and will always cherish them. May God Bless, and we honor, one of the leaders and friends of our world, Keith Parkinson.

SOE need to make this game available offline. It's KP's world, you can't kill his world... you have to at least give it a homebrew version that people can run themselves then it can live on. I mean... if you weren't such a bad company, you should be offering this option as well as a bunch of tools to modify the experience so we can at least play our crappy single player version in a way that we might like. But literally ANYTHING at this point would AMAZE me.

I've always enjoyed Keith Parkinson's art. He had a very realistic style. The original Firiona Vie from EQ that he did was my favorite one of her. I never cared for the later versions.

It always amazes me when someone thinks of something like this to post instead of the usual. You made me go check out the Keith Parkinson's Online website that I haven't been to in some time.

Once again, lawyers doing their jobs....screwing the general public in an effort to help a corporation increase its bottom line. What a bunch of bottom feeders.
