    Clicking play is followed by my screen flashing black then Vanguard closing. No error messages.

    You are not alone in this issue, this seems to be the same issue quite a few are having. I am going through this also and am still trying to resolve it. Hang in there...

  5. So exactly how do you re-install the DX9.0c files?

    I have gone to MS site and tried using the web installer, when it runs it states I am using the most current version. I then download the directx_Jun2010_redist.exe and run it, it looks like it installs some files but that doesn't seem to address the issue.
    I am running Win7 x64.
  6. Please follow the instructions located on the website below to download and install DirectX 9.0c (June 2010 version):

    1. To download, click on the Validate button on the main DirectX page.
    2. Once verification completes, you will be allowed to download Direct X. Choose the option to save the file to your Desktop.
    3. Double click on "dxwebsetup" on your desktop, then follow the instructions.
    Once it has been installed please try accessing the game once again.

  9. Hey guys! I'd suggest submitting a support ticket to our technical support team so can troubleshoot the matter. Please be sure to include your Dxdiag and Msinfo to expedite the process. (Instructions are in my signature below)

  13. I had the same issue. Try disabling your sound hardware in device manager. Worked for me but playing without sound :(
  14. My ticket was finally responded to but they just told me to update my graphics driver? I have run the game perfectly fine for an entire year on my laptop. This is a crappy laptop but I can run VG on low settings fine until the 17th of this month when it just stopped launching
  15. Edit: False alarm, installing Drox UI kept me crashing after hitting play. If any of you guys have custom UIs you may want to take a look at those.
  16. I talked to a tech on the phone after having this same issue. The game and then launcher would crash when I click play. I finally did an uninstall from the launcher and then deleted the Vanguard folder before doing a full reinstall. Now my game loads up.
  17. I'd like to see a fix for this as I'm experiencing the same thing. I've re-installed 4 times, updated all my drivers...not too sure what else to do. and I don't have a custom UI
