As a level 8 necro just trying VG for the first time, I seek some guidance as to what type of crafting/gathering skills will be most useful? I am a gnome if it matters. Thank you in advance for any advice!
Hiyas and welcome to Vanguard. You have basically two options. (1) You can become a tailor and make your own armor which is basically cloth armor. (2) Or you can become a mineralogist and make your own Hand held Stone Focus weapons, Jewellery and also be able to build houses. Depending on what you like to craft you can pick one of them. If you group often I'd say its easier to come across armor drops over jewellery drops and stone focus items. Personally I prefer mineralogist because I like the side questlines to go to dungeons and learn building different house styles, but you should pick what you think would interest and suit you more. If you pick tailor your harvesting skills should be: (1) Reaping and Skinning If you pick Mineralogist your harvesting skills should be: (1) Quarrying and Mining. And Mining and Quarrying (especially Granite) usually is profitable. If you have any more questions please ask away.
